Lovely stay but...
RosanneBugejaon 19/04/2017 08:19So I spent 7 nights here at Best Sistine B&B for the Easter holidays and my 40th birthday. Staff was very pleasant and had a warm welcome by offering us a free Prosecco wine for my birthday.
We were offered Room 1 (the green room in the pictures) which is quite spacious and nice. B&B is quite close to the metro (Lepanto) which makes this B&B conveniently located to all amenities and places of interest in Rome. Also the free wifi was very good.
However I would like to point out three issues. We were quite disappointed with the breakfast as it was served to our room on Sundays only, for the rest of the week we were given free vouchers to be used at the next-door cafeteria for a cup of capuccino and only ONE croissant or other pastry. What a stark contrast to the breakfast we got served on Sundays which was quite varied. However we were given 'freebies' daily in our room- free water & fruit and sweets. The other thing which I would like to point out is that we noticed that even though our towels were changed daily and everything was in order, yet our room wasn't 'spotlessly clean'. I noticed that the room wasn't being properly dusted as I could see dust on the side tables, the bathroom and on the floor. Also I noticed that after using the AC for two consecutive days, the same AC wasn't functional anymore- it was like disabled. So watch out if you intend to book a room here in Summer. Always ask if AC's are useable.
All in all it was a pleasant stay at Best Sistine but if I had to visit Rome again I would try some other alternative accommodation as I think we could have been given a better service for the price we paid.
Nice b&b with good value for money
439saijason 19/03/2017 22:16We booked Best Sistine superior room for two nights. We were pleasently surprised of the room size and the fact that the room has its own balcony. The room was tidy but no means spotless. The bathroom was a bit outdated but clean and the towels were changed daily. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was that the breakfast was very minimal, only tea or coffee with a croissant and it was served in the cafeteria below. In the hotel opetator's discription it is said that the breakfast includes something sweet and savory and it is served in the room, but this is the case only on Sundays. We complained about the misleading information we got from the hotel operator's website and the staff gave us some complimentary snack as compensation, which was a nice gesture. The b&b is located in a quiet neighbourhood but close to the metro station and 15 min walk to the Vatican museums. All in all it was a nice stay and good value for money.
3 night break in Rome

Very clean in all aspects of both room and bathroom, mini bar and quiet location, amazing breakfast served in your room with a wide choice. Pleasant and very helpful staff and clean towels every day. Not often I go somewhere and am totally satisfied... Good job best Sistine BB.
Fabulous accommodation in Rome
EdinburghMAC01on 28/09/2015 21:42We stayed at the Best Sistine B&B for 3 nights and we loved everything about it. The accommodation is in the Prati district, near the Vatican. It is also a short and pleasant walk to many of the major attractions in the city. The metro, Lepanto, is only a few minutes away. The accommodation itself is in a traditional, well looked after and beautiful Roman apartment block. The room we had was spacious, bright and clean with everything we needed, including a well stocked mini bar and good wifi connection. Breakfast is served in your room by a lovely and welcoming hostess. You can choose your breakfast the evening before and we were very impressed with the quality and quantity. Great value for money. I would recommend this accommodation 100%. It is much better than staying in a standard hotel room. We had an amazing time in this wonderful accommodation in one of the most beautiful and stunning cities in the world!
Terrific breakfast and service in a clean, comfortable room

The staff was very friendly, even accommodating our early morning departure with an earlier than normal breakfast. The neighborhood was authentic, away from the tourist bustle and very clean. The shower was terrific and we loved the balcony overlooking the area.
