Just back from a two week stay in Hotel Best, was nearly afraid to go after reading some of the bad reviews. We were on the 2nd floor yes it could be doing with a touch of paint & new carpet or tiles in corridors, but other wise its fine maids in every day.Reception area all so friendly & in the restaurant so nice & food is delicious, lovely pool & plenty of sunbeds, i would have no problem returning here.D.Kelly

Well worth a visit

We have just return from our stay at Best Tenerife, I really enjoyed my stay here, my room was on the first floor, the water and pop in the fridge was a nice touch and the only small problem with my room was that the bath enamel was worn out, other than that there was nothing to complain about. It was not one of the renovated rooms but nothing was worn, stained or damaged. It was comfortable and had everything I needed. my daughter, her husband and six year old were next door, the hotel arranged this for us. With the three of them in one room so storage was an issue and they also had some mold issues on the ceiling, by the door and in the bathroom and ceiling paint peeling off above the bath. The cleaners were very friendly and even thou I put the do not disturb sign on my door because I felt that my room didn't need cleaning, when they saw me go out they still went in to make my bed, which I appreciated, they must work really hard. my granddaughter loved how they arranged her teddy on her bed with a lollipop n it hand lol
The food was a bit hit and miss because I found somethings overcooked, there was a lot of fish and veal but I didn't mind them, I did struggle with breakfast as I don't like milk so I don't eat cereal, I didn't like the bacon or sausage but there was eggs, beans, mushrooms hashbrowns, pastries and jam and toast. on the whole my daughter and I enjoyed the food but my son in law hated it but he would prefer mcdonalds to some think cooked.
We loved the pool, though it isn't as big as it looks in the pictures it was never over crowded, there was enough sunbeds but very crowded and there were not enough umbrellas. The out side bar was great, the snacks were good and great alcohol selection, not they weren't branded but still lovely. I loved the self serve bar as there were no queues and my 6 year old granddaughter loved going and helping herself to grenadine and lemonade or asking for an ice cream, she gained a lot of confidence over this holiday. The outside space is not big enough for the amount of quests.
The entertainment was fun for the kids and adults but not re.ally for teenagers.the animation team were really friendly.
The staff all worked hard, they were very efficient but they all seemed very serious, apart from the animation team and the cleaners I don't think I ever saw any one smile. A smile gies a long way to make quest feel welcome and at ease.
The area is great, loads to do, definitely worth a visit.

FANTASTIC HOTEL, GREAT HOLIDAY *****

Lee310896on 29/08/2017 11:16

I stayed at this hotel from 10th - 25th August and all 5 of us had a really good holiday.
on arrival, the reception staff were very helpful and booked us in very quick.
we stayed on the 3rd floor and the rooms were lovely, clean and looked pretty new, the mini bar was a nice welcome in the room. the maids were fantastic and cleaned the rooms every day.
The food was fantastic here and there was a great choice of food for each meal time. the food was always hot and the staff were fantastic.
The pool was great and the poolside bar was a great idea.
The entertainment / animation team worked so hard all day and evening, they were fantastic with kids and adults, they did a great job and are a credit to the hotel.
the bar staff were also very kind and helpful.
I would really recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying here. Its in a great location and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
Do not listen to all the people moaning about this hotel, they are clearly very sad people with nothing better to do than complain.
The hotel and staff should be very proud of the service they offer.
Thank you for a lovely holiday!!!!!

well stayed at hotel Best Tenerife 4th august-18th august 201, first impression walking in hotel, was what a lovely place, checked in and was then given 2 rooms on the first floor, when we got to the first floor there was a horrible Smell, damp and dirty, my granddaughters was put in room 142 Wow, little black flies everywhere, really smelly, furniture was so old and stained, within 10 minutes the maid was called, she came sprayed the room and left, but the flies kept coming, the room was sprayed again, and again the flies was still there, so they was moved to a room above the bins, again opened the window and the black flies were there too, eventually was moved to room 018 which was much netter although the stained furniture really needs updating, myself and daughter were put in room 126 again really stained furniture and damp, being disabled i couldn't get in the shower, so was moved to room 022 much better. a lot cleaner, although stained furniture needs updating, i must say the maid for our room anna marie was Excellent. Food was dreadful so much fish, just not a great selection, my Granddaughters had Breakfast once and never went back to the restaurant, myself and daughter had toast and omelette for breakfast, had 1 evening meal which was very poor and so for 2 weeks we all ate out, again the Staff in the Restaurant are Great. The Pool, was Cloudy and lots of black bits in it, you couldn't swim as was so packed, the brochure said its one of the best pools in tenerife, i'm afraid it's one of the Worst Pools iv'e been in, and been going Tenerife for 30 years, again Life guard was fab. Pool bar, Food is cold Drinks are Good, Cocktails are only 2 euros if all inclusive, which is a bargain, after 4 days we went out everyday, just like we went out everynight to eat. all in all Not a good hotel, didn't spoil my holiday, it has taught me never to go to a hotel i don't know. This Hotel is Nothing like it looks in the Brochure the pool is 4 feet deep at the most.

Nothing to fault - amazing hotel - amazing holiday

I always check trip advisor before booking a holiday, and the reviews for this hotel are very positive however there are a couple of bad ones. Firstly, to those complaining about men/boys over the age of 12 having to wear long trousers....this is due to the culture in the country and also hygiene purposes, it took my boyfriend 2 minutes to walk back to the room and change into some shorts afterwards - he had no problems and really isnt a big deal so please do not worry about this, also most of the hotels have this policy.
The holiday/hotel was the best, rooms were cleaned everyday, beds made, bins emptied, floor swept etc... i did not notice any dirt or bugs anywhere including on the balcony!
The food is lovely, there is alot to choose from, and the show cooking tastes faaaab. For those who are also saying there isnt much for 'fussy eaters' or its 'repetitive' - this is also untrue, there is chips, potatoes, fresh salad, chicken, fish so it caters for all eaters - it is an all inclusive buffet holiday - its not a 5 star ritz hotel may i just remind those who are moaning. The waiters always show you to your table and in the evening provide you with your drinks, in the day it it self serve, there is also snacks and ice cream provided in the day by the pool bar.
The pool is lovely, we went down around 10am and had no problems getting a sunbed, but definitely get down there by 11 else you might struggle. The entertainment team are also polite and do activities in the day such as water polo and they did do a drinking game (for the adults) in the bigger pool, and a different game for the children in the smaller pool. The evening entertainment is okay...drinks are once again self serve which is good because there is no need to wait for a drink.
The location of this hotel is great, there is a supermarket next door, and if you walk down the road to the left there is several restaurants and shops and bigger shopping centres. Walk the other way (to the right) and there is more bars showing the sports and playing music, the strip is about 10 minutes away on foot and do great music and good drink deals for younger people. The beach is also a 5 minute walk from the hotel and the bus stop for siam park (waterpark) and the siam mall is right outside the hotel! Is a 10 min drive once again so not far, the location as said, is great!
Staff were lovely, check in and check out was quick and easy, any problems the staff are happy to help - lovely big reception area - check out is at 12pm - can extend till 3pm for an extra 20euros.
Honestly LOVED this hotel and holiday for my first holiday with my boyfriend and it was the perfect choice. 100% recommend.
