Wonderfully comfortable hotel in beautiful setting
Tom con 28/05/2017 16:55Aurelia was the best place we stayed on this 3-week trip. I highly recommend spending time here if you are exploring this part of Provence or if you simply want to spend a couple days relaxing in a beautiful part of the world.
The rooms (we stayed in two different rooms) are comfortable with plenty of room for the two of us and our suitcases. The beds were great. TV has many channels, a couple in English, some in German, some in Spanish, most in French. The rooms and the whole hotel is very clean and quiet.
The pool area and terrace and gardens provide a relaxed spot to enjoy the beautiful weather of a Provence spring day.
Even though the hotel was full, it was rare to see many people around. At all times, it was quiet. The room prices are very reasonable.
Breakfast included many options including bakery items, fruit, cereals, eggs and cheeses and meats. It is extra, 12.50 Euros each.
Each of the staff members are extremely helpful and friendly. I try to speak French, but the staff is quite good in English. I think that there are staff members who speak Spanish and German also. My wife and I are very appreciative that they found us a room for one night when we were rather desperate for a good place to stay. Then, after I mentioned that we would love to spend another couple nights here, they called me as soon as they had a cancellation so that we could spend 2 more nights.
Lovely place to stay.
Nick Son 13/04/2017 16:59We stayed here for 5 days and had a super time. Everything was perfect. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. There were facilities for making tea and coffee in the room, which was a nice touch.
All the staff were hospitable, kind and very helpful. Most can speak good English and that of course is a bonus for non French speakers.
The breakfasts were very good, with plenty of choice and plenty to eat.
The bar is a bonus and was open for most of the day. Sitting on the terrace and soaking up the sunshine in the late afternoon, with a glass (or two!) of Leffe was very enjoyable.
The grounds are being refurbished but what has been done is to a very good standard.
It's better value than most hotels in Mausanne but don't tell too many people or we won't be able to return again!
It deserves to do well. The staff are wonderfully hospitable. Top marks for everyone and everything.
Thank you.
Excellent place!
Ambar Son 05/01/2017 04:02Very chilled out place with decent size (not big) hotel rooms and a friendly staff. The pool is perfect and adds to the value of the weather, in the summer.
The restaurant is very basic with a small bar but the town is a walking distance with plenty of good restaurants. There is a very nice brunch place right next to the hotel.
The lawn upfront in very big and a very nice place to sit and enjoy the weather.
great value, nice staff, clean rooms
tkl112on 18/07/2016 08:46We stayed here one night on an extended trip to Provence to go to dinner at Bistrot du Paradou. The staff spoke English really well and were friendly. The room was clean and rather large. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was very modern and had a good shower. We went into the pool for a short amount of time. It was clean and nice and there were numerous chairs to sit in the grassy area outside of the pool. Overall, this was a great choice for our short stay and a great value for the area.
Great value for money, quiet and relaxing, fantastic location.
Francois000on 02/07/2016 13:02Confortable room with air conditioning and separate toilets. Beautiful garden (great to enjoy at breakfast time). Helpful staff that did direct us to nice restaurants. (BTW you won't starve in Maussane, there are a bunch of excellent restaurants, and surprisingly in this region also with good value for money). It's such a quiet place, a bit out of time...
The location is ideal to discover provence, starting with the Alpilles, but you may also drive to Cassis creeks in 1h30, or to Camargue beaches in 45mn.
Will come back!
