Needs to be updated!
B8189JXdaniellelon 11/08/2017 17:28The service was excellent but our room was a bit dingy, the Internet connection was awful and the breakfast options were great if you are looking for diabetes. The location is perfect for walking around town but the cost of the room is too much given it needs to be updated. The Windsor BW is a much better choice!
Pleasant motel, small room, small public areas
PetuniaCakeon 10/08/2017 02:55This is a motel. Cars pull in front of the rooms or park within sight of the rooms
We received very nice service at the front desk. Everything about our stay was described to us in detail.
Our room was located on the second floor in the main building, it faced the parking lot. The room was quiet and clean BUT SMALL, the two of us kept bumping into each other.
The air conditioning was centralized and quiet. The comfort of the bed and sleep factor were great, we did not hear our neighbors.
The pool was small and the pool area was small. There were three adults and five kids in the pool at the same time and it was crowded. There were not enough chairs and it appeared that guests were using the pool in shifts because it was so crowded and small. The pool is just a place to cool off and not hang for long.
The breakfast was adequate. It was served in a huge room, looked like it was once a restaurant converted into the breakfast area. The breakfast was placed in a buffet line and there was a line out the door onto the public street area when we were there for breakfast, which I thought was rather tacky.
You are within close walking to the village and the festival which made our stay very pleasant.
I would recommend this motel to a frient
Bard's Inn Review
Elizabeth Jon 08/08/2017 19:55I needed to be clearer with them at reservation about the necessaity for disabled access. They had to change us at check in and didn't have the rooms in the same building. But it all worked out eventually.
A great place to stay
edwardwX6878MGon 08/08/2017 19:04My wife and I have been staying at the Bard's Inn for several years now and will continue to do so whenever we travel north to visit our grandchildren or to take in plays at the Ashland Shakespeare Festival. We and our dog always enjoy our stay.
Not your average Best Wester
MerileeMindeeon 08/08/2017 18:40Excellent location for Shakespeare Festival, walking distance to theaters, shops, and restaurants. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. Free WIFI, breakfast, and newspaper, and parking. Swimming pool is quite compact, but a nice way to cool down when the temperatures are high. We are always delighted to be able to stay here whenever we visit.
