Great hotel location and always enjoy stopping at this hotel. The employees especially Dolores greets us warmly and lets us know what is going on if interest locally. The rooms, beds and amenities are always fresh and up to date. Highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was great! Helpful staff, clean and smelled good! The breakfast was good, and the bed was awesome! We had a Jacuzzi in our room and it was amazing! Will definitely stay there again! I am a clean freak, so I do check everywhere for hair and etc. I found nothing in our room! I was ecstatic! Kudos to the cleaning staff for such an excellent job!

Customer Service and Hotel Stay

Good location with pleasing views of surrounding area and an excellent restaurant located just across the parking lot. This hotel is located just outside of town. Our air conditioning unit fan was loud. We had a double queen bedroom and had to switch beds because one mattress was uncomfortable.

The good was the price for the level of accommodations. Appreciated the helpful attendants at the front desk and willingness to have us check out 45 mins late. Pool was nice and generally clean. The BIG drawback of our stay was that the free wireless was not working the entire stay. A slightly less drawback was that there wasn't enough places to sit for breakfast.

3rd Great Stay

This was our 3rd stay for a stop over night on our way from Pittsburgh to Outer Banks. We will continue to stay each year, The staff is friendly and the place clean and welcoming. Its the only place we have stayed in Berkeley.My 14 year old son loves it much more than Great Wolf waterpark lodge in Williamsburg we hit after this for little sister. He has always liked things calm & laid back!

Positives

* Use AAA/AARP to save 10% (I think)
* Biker friendly (wash station)
* Restaurant on-site (we have never eaten there, my kids like to walk down to DQ)
* Health Facility next door you may use for $4 a day
* Outdoor swimming pool (no hot tub)
* Free Continental Breakfast
* Nice staff
* Computer in lobby
* Price is good ...$94 after AAA/ taxes added in
* Queen Beds
* In general has always been a quiet hotel stay for us..attracts lots of seniors (fine by me)

Negatives
* Didnt bother us but 2 story, no elevator
* would like a hot tub, too
* Rooms clean but out-dated
* Showers don't drain well (ours didn't last year either)

In closing, great stop, wouldn't stay more than 2 nights as there isn't much to do or a lot of restaurants, but its a great stop-over place. Maybe check your shower first in case you need room change for shower.
