Fantastic Peaceful Hotel
Annie_H_IDon 15/08/2017 17:35I was able to stay in this magical old hotel for one night on my Holiday to Edinburgh earlier this month. It is a huge old building with beautiful grounds and wonderful views! I was impressed by the architecture of the building and the staff and servers were very professional and took good care of me. Only thing that suprised me was there was no "lift" in the hotel, so for people with mobility issues or the elderly, I would look closely to see if they can accommodate your needs before booking with this place. But my little room was quiet and clean, small but comfy! And the views to the golf course cannot be equalled! Happy Travels!
Funeral tea
Graeme Son 13/08/2017 21:13I don't suppose funeral teas are ever fantastic. This one was fair. The hotel has a cheap finish despite its potential. But it's very much in line with Best Western standards. For me, that means Best Avoided when there's an alternative.
The good bits were the company, but that's what I expect for a funeral tea I suppose.
Wonderful hotel, best situated

This time we stayed together with family.
The staff was extremely polite and tried to help in many situations.
The hotel has best connection to the city and the airport
The view is wonderful and the differently designed rooms are comfortable.
We would like to return.

trevormT6686ELon 10/08/2017 18:49The Hotel has wonderful views over the city, the rooms are very clean and well maintained. The staff are very polite and helpful. The 1886 restaurant has veried menu and the food is very good, the staff are efficient. I highly recommend The Hotel.

berbeluchaon 09/08/2017 23:05We spontaneously decided we want to see how the Scotland look like, I've booked the hotel the same day as the arrival date. The staff was very very nice and helpful, the price was fine. Room service- pizza 24/7. The restaurant and bar/ then the breakfast really nice. I do recommend this hotel 100%.
