Worst Hotel Experience Ever

We upgraded to the Villas. On the plus side, the views were amazing. We had to carry our luggage a far distance uphill with no assistance. Once in our room we found the bathroom had not been cleaned and the trash was not emptied. After they finally cleaned it, I took a shower. The water was yellow and the tub did not drain. Our TV did not work and the chain on the door was hanging by a screw. We switched to a room with double beds, which was less comfortable. Overnight we realized that the sink in the bathroom was leaking so much the floor was flooded and the toilet did not flush properly. We told the front desk in the morning and when we returned at the end of the day it had not been fixed. We could have easily slipped on the marble floor. During the day there is no restaurant or bar and pool towels were hard to come by.

We loved this hotel but it is lacking in amenities. It's been quite a while their restaurant has been 'under reno'. The website now says it's open for lunch and dinner. But it WASN'T! No restaurant or bar....all day. So sad. This is really a great place!! If the management and upkeep were better it could be amazing. Our room was very nice and comfortable. Nice pool - but a bummer without a bar. Small sandy area and access to the ocean. No real 'beach'.

I stayed here for two nights with my husband. We had a sea view room on the second floor; one of their updated rooms. The view was great and the updated bathroom was great, but the room itself was not updated and had a lot of old furniture.The room was clean and the towels were replenished daily and the bed was made upon request. The staff was polite and courteous. Their restaurant was closed so we had breakfast both mornings at their sister property, Emerald Beach resort, which was great. My husband's only disappointment was that the tv channels did not get good reception. This room also had no refrigerator or microwave. This hotel is in a great location. Lindbergh Bay Beach, a great beach is a five minute walk. Downtown is about 10 minutes away from the hotel, and the Airport is just a walk away. It is very affordable, but it is more of a motel than a luxury hotel. This is the second time I have stayed there, mainly because of the price and the location.

This hotel is only good for a night or two, not longer. There was a used band-aid stuck to the bathroom floor, so it makes me question how clean is the bathroom. There is a nice shower within the small bathroom, but the drain is very slow, especially in the sink. The balcony chairs are not cleaned and looks questionable to sit on. The sea view room did have a nice view, which is the only positive. As, the vending machine only took quarters and they didn't have a change machine so you couldn't but a bottle of water. I ended up taking the shuttle to the sister property to buy water. Also, the restaurant that in onsite only opens on the weekend so you have to take the shuttle to the sister property to get food if you want something close by. An you have to take the shuttle to the sister property to enjoy the beach. Consequently, to have a good time, you're better off at the sister property because you'll spend more time there than at Lindbergh Bay Hotel. They are however, a convenient 5 minute walk to and from the airport.

Just returned from a visit to the BVI's. Spent two nights at Lindbergh Bay one going out and one on return. Many many, positives. The front desk agents A+. Housekeeping and Cleanliness of room(s) A+. Comfortable bed, clean bedding A+. Proximity to Airport A+. Shuttle Service to sister property Emerald Bay A+. Feelingness of Safety A+. Food and drinks at sister property A+. This lovely retro-style hotel has great potential. It's obviously going through a rough patch however it's a diamond in the rough given it's dedicated and lovely staff, location and views. True, it's currently lacking amenities however the staff appears dedicated to its success. Happiness is a choice - we experienced 2 HAPPY stays at LBHV! Regarding the bad reviews - perhaps remember there are hard working people on the other side of words. Our experience proved, the positives outweighed the negatives. Thanks gals - we will be back.
