Average lodging but not bad at all for a Red Roof.
New_friends_GRon 22/07/2017 23:27I was on a road trip by myself for a weekend in July 2017 and ended up spending a night at this Red Roof in Carrollton. My experience there was okay... could have been better but could have been worse.
I checked in around 7:30 p.m. on a Friday. A nice young man was working the front desk, and he was training a new employee (a female). The young man was doing a good job and the woman was observing. As a guy traveling by myself, I was a bit weirded out by the woman because she made a comment about me "traveling by [my] lonesome". I think she meant it in a hospitable, friendly way - but it almost came across as flirtatious. No problem, but I was amused by it and didn't really know how to react to that.
The room I was first given (#115) smelled a bit like smoke and marijuana when I first walked into the room (I had requested a non-smoking room). I immediately turned around, went back to the desk, and asked for a different room. I was given #105 and it was much better. Clean, comfortable... no problems.
Overall I slept quite well and had no problems. I could have eaten breakfast at the hotel, but I opted to eat somewhere else. It looked like this Red Roof offered a standard selection of breakfast options though (the foods you typically see at hotels for breakfast).
The check-out process was quick and easy.
Overall, this Red Roof was okay. It was perhaps a bit more expensive than it could have been, but I slept just fine and it was acceptable for a night. Different from your typical Red Roof. (I heard it had been a Best Western previously.)
Excellent
KLINT Oon 09/05/2017 21:11Emily was extremely helpful and catered to every need or request that i had. She took extra time to explain a discrepancy on my billing statement. Also, any time i was in the office and witnessed her check in another guest she was just as nice and professional as she was with me.
Nice place to stay!

We would definitely recommend, close to Noah's Ark and other attractions.
Average price average hotel, service was excellent
Typozaloton 25/04/2017 13:31We didn't book just turned up as on a road trip. The girl at reception was very polite, chatty and helpful, she took an interest in us and gave us any info we needed.
The room was basic, but had everything we needed, two beds, fridge, microwave, coffee machine. There was a bit of a funky smell when we first walked in but soon went, U think it is the cleaning products they use as we have smelt it elsewhere.
Beds were comfortable and there was toiletries provided. It was to the most modern place and yes there was some areas which perhaps could have needed some maintenance, but it was a cheap hotel and for the price good.
I ave given it four stars for the reception as the young lady was so attentive. Didn't sample the breakfast but looked like a basic continental. Also free wifi.
Red Roof Inn - liked the staff, did not like some of the property
Healthywalkeron 30/03/2017 23:15My room was upstairs. There are two stair wells for the upstairs rooms. The door did not fit completely with the door jamb. The room door handle took some wiggling to unlock the door. The second floor pops with steps across the floor. There were two chairs in the room. These were armchairs with the seat sloping toward the back. There was not a desk or desk chair. Refrigerator seemed fine. I did not use the supplied microwave oven. The television was supplied with satellite TV with many channel offerings. There was a guest washer and dryer. The washer seemed fine, the dryer was not doing much to get its items dry. The ice machine was on the second floor. The WIFI worked well. The breakfast offerings were orange juice, apple juice and coffee for the beverages. There were apples but no bananas. Biscuits and gravy are available.
The outdoor area around the building was marred by trash.
The front desk staff were talkative and good to talk with.
