loricP4056WXon 25/08/2017 20:35I booked the hotel on the basis of decent reviews on other web sites, but I can't recommend it. It's essentially a cheap motel for truckers, but not a very nice one.
The was a smell of urine on the stairs.
Nothing was especially clean in the room. Caked dirt in corners, windowsill, etc.
Front desk staff was helpful, and check in was smooth. Had to get more sheets/towels - the were no spares for pull-out - and that was fine.
Kids usually sleep on pull-out couch when we travel; this one might as well have been bare springs. The maid came to make up our bed the first morning, but left the pull-out open and unmade.
No soap in the bathroom. Towels were clean. Internet didn't work.
Fridge worked. Didn't try other appliances.
Location just off the highway. A little loud, but convenient to the town, shopping, etc.
Would not stay here again. Didn't ruin the eclipse experience, though!

The front desk staff are very friendly and professional as the same goes for the cleaning staff. We travel with our 2 fur babies and have stayed here many times and every time we have felt very welcomed and have had a very restful and pleasant stay. We would highly recommend this Baymont Inn to family, friends or anyone looking for an excellent place to stay. M & L Swope, Indiana
Unacceptable Room
nelliecricketon 22/08/2017 21:56Going into this stay, I knew it was only a 2 1/2 star rating but I was at least expecting clean and up kept. I will say that besides the filthy carpet and the left over bar soap in the shower from the guests before us it was pretty clean. However, the multiple cigarette burn stains in the sheets and blanket (it was a non-smoking room by the way) and the way overdue cauk job that needed to be done in and around the tub was unacceptable. I would never recommend anyone staying here. It just seemed overlooked and unsanitary.
Mold and mildew
