Worst stay ever

We had reserve a room for 4 people and we were 5 they refuse to give us our room I had told at the reservation lady it was a possibility but we would with it knowing there was two bed. When it was time to check in the manager refuse to give us our room saying it is a hotel for families og four only. I have never seen or heard of a best western with that restrictions in my life. I asked for her comprehension it was only for one night. Then I said ok he can sleep in the truck she refused again to give me my room I had to pay 159$ for a room for one person. I mentioned to the manager that I was very honest in saying that we were five I could have taken the room and just say nothing. The manager had pleaure saying she would have kick us out even at midnight. Like when they do the rounds at night (god she was almost saying she checks in every room to count the people in it). Crazy rules I asked if a family of five 3 children under 5 where you can sleep 3 in a big queen bed she answered no they will need another room. I have always believe Best Western yo be family oriented but it is not the case at all.NO FAMILY .
Swimming pool dawn to dusk what kind of info is this?? Again kick out of the pool they change the rules as they want this way and they get a lot of pleasure kicking you out once you are in the water
It is unacceptable that when we reserve with Best Western we don't get the good info I would have chosen another hotel not having to spend another 159$. Hope that Best Western are able to do something to compensate for their mistake.

July Key West Visit

The hotel was lovely, the rooms roomy and modern and clean. Our only complaint was the pool water was so, so warm it was not refreshing. We have decided we will never visit the Keys in July or August again. We ended up playing cards in our room because it was just so hot we melted when trying to do our usual Duval crawl. Thank goodness the air conditioning in the rooms was working nicely, but they wouldn't let you turn it down any further than 72, and we do like a cool bedroom at night..

Visits always give pleasure — if not the arrival, the departure.

Our visit to the hotel was a pleasure and a pleasant and unexpected surprise. We did not expect a room and amenities this nice, especially at this price and location. A block off of Duvall and close to all the points of interest. Beautiful pool area with lots of chaises and umbrella's. Breakfast was delicious with numerous protein choices for those doing lo-carb and/or Paleo. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will be back!

The rooms nice and comfortable. Bathrooms could use some updating. I don't know if it is a Florida thing, but there was no lotion, which was weird. Anyways, the pool is amazing! Ask for a room where you can actually see the pool, because the other view you get is the parking lot. Breakfast was small, but who cares, go out. Location of the hotel is walking distance to basically everything needed to see in Key West.

Spacious room with two queen beds, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, large bathroom and two full sinks (one inside, one out). Really pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. Great rate, friendly staff, free continental breakfast with good variety. Beautiful and large pool. with many chairs and even padded cabana lounge chairs. Good location. About a 15 minute walk from Mallory Square, but only a couple blocks from Southernmost Point, Hemingway House and Blue Heaven! It's worth the walk to the busier downtown area to have a quieter area to "come home to" after sunset. Free parking. Convenience store one block away. Would absolutely stay here again!
