I was looking for a romantic dinner for my wife's birthday a friend mentioned the Higher Trapp it was great the food was excellent and the staff are brilliant they really looked after us and I will definitely be going again and the views are great

I stayed one night for an event at a cost of £80 B&B. The hotel itself is pleasantly situated and the receptionist was welcoming. However, if I had not being staying for an event, I would have checked out, as the room was grubby and appeared to have been furnished out of a discount store. The bathroom was overdue for a deepclean/replacement. The downstairs rooms are pleasant, as are the views out to the gardens. Breakfast was okay, although service was extremely slow. For the price, I would not return.

Lovely staff, very good food and comfortable room.
Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean comfortable and we'll equipped. Only problem was Wi Fi not very good.
Very good service in bar/ restaurant. All staff were extremely good, very neat and tidy, extremely helpful and a credit to the company. Food well presented and tasty.
Breakfast very nice except for very poor tea, weak and tasteless, PLEASE change the brand, don't spoil the ship for a ha'porth of tar!!!!

We stayed one night here and was pleasantly suprised. The ground of the hotel was absolutly stunning and peaceful which made for a quiet nights sleep which was great. We had a cooked breakfast and continental breakfast waiting in the morning and it was very tasty and well presented. The room was adequate for a couple for one night but beds rather small and very dipped so a longer stay may get uncomfortable. Clean well presented hotel and staff were ok but the first person who booked us in was quite rude and abrupt, all other staff friendly however.

Great start to my stay with friendly and efficient reception staff that upgraded my room without asking(I looked weary!) Room recently refurbished. Food excellent quality and value very attentive staff. Will stay here again.
