What People are saying

Dated property with inferior wifi

Parveen Ton 29/07/2017 18:17

Would hesitate to recommend this hotel to anybody. Lacked ambience, staff commitment and modern facilities. Very cold reception while checking in and no help with any local directions. Terrible wifi connection and very dated property.

Perfectly located in the city center. Staff very friendly and helpful

The Best Western is located in the heart of Friedrichshafen. A short walking distance to everything of interest. The staff is very helpful. When we arrived the the young lady receptionist indicated where to find the tourist agency to help us plan our stay. The room suited us just fine. Ours was spacious and it was clean. Sound proofed with a mini bar, well working WiFi and a safe. There are actually two buildings the main one and the annex. The annex does have an elevator. So why the average rating? Because there is no air-conditioning and this makes it very uncomfortable at night when you have to leave the widows open... you get all of the street noise..especially at 7A.M. when the street cleaners come in. The windows are double. When closed they do block out the noise pretty well but air conditioning would really help to get a good night's sleep...which we didn't get. By the way, the breakfasts are pretty good

Awful experience

What was described online was far from the reality. It has no great views of the Bodensee , instead most of the rooms faced into a garbage collection point and office buildings with absolutely no privacy. This hotel is not worthy of its star rating. With no air conditioning , a faulty lift and a highly inadequate breakfast (nothing hot provided , just cereals and fruits and confectionary) , we were most disappointed!!

a little disappointed

We had trouble finding the hotel and the parking is not exactly "on site" as described. Staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival. Rooms rather stark and austere- reminded me of student digs albeit clean-ish and with all you really needed. Big down side was drilling and banging in the building that started early and seemed to go on all day. Restaurant (in main building) nice and with decent menu. Breakfast very good too.

City hotel divided over 2 buildings, located centrally

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was a mixed experience. The hotel had a separate 2nd building with more hotel rooms but this had no facilities at all except an elevator and the sauna was out of order.
The breakfast room was a bit small, specially when all rooms are occupied. The staff was friendly but did not make much attempts to really makes us feel at home here. I doubt whether this hotel really meets the standards of a Best Western franchise. The parking was in a public car park not too far away and getting luggage in and out of the car could be done parking in the pedestrian area. Another thing to mention is that you do not need an alarm as the church bells will certainly wake you up, starting at seven in the morning. But the location was good and many activities in the proximity of the hotel.
