Nice Hotel

Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, reasonable size washrooms, wonderful breakfast ( lots of items to choose). Easy access. Maybe 10 min drive to Bern. Cheerful and kind staff who also speak English. Nice coffee/tea bar( complimentary all day long).

Good hotel for a short stay

We stayed there as a family with two kids, all in a rather small room. The beds are comfortable, the room and the bathroom are clean. The crib was installed as requested during the booking, and there was a fourth bed in the room for the elder son. As the hotel is just on the rest area of the motorway (depending on the room you will hear the noise with the window tilted), and if you do not like the noise of the AC at night, it will become very hot in the room in summertime. Prices are swiss-wise, the breakfast was ok but nothing exceptional. However some late arrivers appreciated that there is cake and drinks 24/day in the lobby. Lobby staff very friendly. The restaurant at the rest area is not too bad either, value for money is good. Otherwise you are at 15' walking distance from a bus stop bringing you very punctually to Bern via the S-Bahn.

Difficult to find, Good value for money

The most challenging thing facing this hotel is the fact that it cannot be found on the GPS. Once you know where to turn off though at the "Grauholtz exit" from the autobahn, it can be reached from either direction. Do not try to take back roads to this hotel as you will not be able to do it.

When we arrived there was a lot of shooting in the back ground. It seems that there is a gun range close by. Other than that our stay was perfect. Rooms were good. Wifi-excellent. Bed comfortable, Shower-hot with good pressure. Food-excellent selection. Outside area to sit and relax or to eat. Drinks and pastries available 24 hours/day in the eating area. Service-excellent-we had 3 different front desk employees spend quite a bit of time giving us information about the local area. Nearby restaurant very good food with much cheaper prices than in the city. Tip (The Cordon Blu and quiche were excellent, salmon was not done well enough). Overall we were extremely happy with our stay here, it was just difficult to find it the first time.

Well located along the highway a few km from the capital Bern, the hotel offer all what you need for relaxing and offers a great breakfast buffet. Also it has all the premises for a business hotel with conference room. A two minute walk from the Hotel, a cosy restaurant offer all kind of food at an affordable price and a market allows you to do your grocery.

Convenient, affordable, welcoming and great for guests with children

We were looking for a relaxing and affordable hotel with easy parking that wasn't too busy, as we took our 2 year old son with us. This hotel was perfect. The staff were so friendly. They scanned documents, sent a fax and emailed for us when we needed it - nothing was too much trouble.

I recommend the lovely buffet breakfasts with cooked and contenental choices. Downstairs in the lobby area are tables where you can sit and have complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, juices, water and even cakes! Guests are also able to use the laundry facilities free of charge after 3pm.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and of a decent size - similar to an Ibis in decor and fittings so nothing elaborate, but perfectly adequate.

I must say if you are travelling with young children or have been on a long journey this place is a godsend. There are decent restaurants just across the road that won't drain your bank account (unlike many others in Switzerland). There's room for children to run around outside including a slide and climbing frame. The staff are not phased by children and even provide indoor toys for them, perfect for when it's cold outside. They supplied a travel cot and blankets for our son in our room.

I would like to return to Switzerland soon and when I do, I will be staying here again.
