Meets a rather specialist demand.
ArbiePon 31/08/2015 20:34Infrastructure is a bit decrepid, consists of four or five "low rise" separate blocks. Their own marketing approach is towards the old and disabled. The chappie in charge is welcoming enough. If you want a low key beach holiday or to cycle up and down near the shore this is the place for you. Quite good value for a BW, but not in their usual run of hotels
Baltic Beaches
ScoobUKon 13/08/2015 08:46Great hotel with very friendly staff and at least one or two who speak very good English. They'll also pick you up from the train station (the train takes around 3 hours from Berlin with one very easy change). Good spa, although the swimming pool is not that large. Very good beaches are a 5 minute walk. Bikes can be hired from the hotel and there are excellent shady bike paths through the woods behind the beach. The main path goes all along the Usedom coast. The hotel caters to a wide mix of guests and is wheelchair accessible. Kelch's fish restaurant nearby is very good (hotel food, including breakfast, is also good). Koserow is a sleepy coastal village - supermarket, good bakery, a few other shops and restaurants: if you want an outdoors-y holiday, it's the place for you. If you are after nightlife then perhaps not (though there was some German musical entertainment in places).
Excellent weekend stay
Sabine Bon 26/02/2015 14:53We visit the hotel for a relaxing weekend and we really enjoyed ist!! The hotel staff is very friendly but sometime not realy professional (restaurant). The rooms (Haus Rostock) are a bit old, but commodious and clean. But we don´t stay very often in the room, because the landscape is fantastic for outdoor activities like walking on the beach, tour around the island by bicycle or just sit in one of the cafes and restaurants to relax. The SPA was clean, the littel pool full of different massage elements and you can choose between three different saunas.
Accesible rooms as a norm, not as an exception
Zurichon 26/06/2012 16:29If you are looking for mundane sea resort atmosphere, Koserow might not be the right choice. This is more of a village located by the Baltic sea. A village with tourism and well connected by train. We liked it. The hotel offers a shuttle at arrival from the station. We took advantage of it.
The hotel is special, since it is frequented by many younger guests in wheelchairs - and older ones without. This made a very special mix of guests.
The hotel is made up of several buildings, not connected with each other. We booked a junior suite to allow for more space and comfort. And that is what we got. The breakfast had a very good choice, the restaurant was good (and since we had a very nice and competent waitress, Mrs. Neugebauer, she made our evening even better!).
Staff in general was nice and friendly. The gentleman who picked us up from the station was very kind. He reliably brought as back to the station on our departure.
There is an extraordinary spa within this hotel. We only used the heated indoor pool and the sauna. All well equipped and very relaxing.
