A bit of a mixed bag

What you cannot fault about the hotel is the location. Right opposite the main train station. This is a blessing as it lets you get the most out of Luxembourg's excellent public transport system. But with this comes a lot of noise and hustle and bustle.

We stayed for 4 nights in July/August. It was warm in the city and this hotel is not fully air conditioned. Not all rooms have air con. Our first room didn't so we had to have the window open....which made the room so noisy we both needed ear plugs. We asked to move rooms to one without a view...but still no aircon, but thankfully no noise. If you are a light sleeper and need to be cool...this may not be the place for you.

The breakfast is about what you would expect of a continental breakfast, it certainly met our needs.

Our only poor experience was on our last night when we finally decided to use a voucher that we had been given for the bar. We arrived at about 10:45pm to be greeted by a very grumpy member of staff who reluctantly served us, before then turning away another guest before 11pm, and closing shop!

Clean, spacious room! Friendly staff of the front desk. Breakfast was a bit lackluster but there are other cafes nearby you can visit instead. Only downside was pillows were far too high- more like a cushion and super uncomfortable!

Positives - only 15 mins walk to main town and bus 16 from airport stops directly outside!

Sooooooooooo Central

This hotel is so central for buses and the train station as they are just across the road.
When we arrived check in was quick and easy and the receptionist was fine. We find if you talk and have a joke then people are fine. We were upgraded with NO charge and without any request from ourselves.
Our room was on the second floor and at the front and overlooked the train and bus station. Although we had air conditioning, at night i turned it off and opened the window, although it was noisy, so the following night i left the air conditioning on and closed the window, hey presto, had a good nights sleep. The bathroom was clean with toiletries. Kettle in room, although the only grumble was only 2 teabags 1 sugar and 1 milk. Good job I had my own supplies.
The breakfast was more than adequate, cold meats, cheese, tomatoes, cucumber.
Croissants, bread rolls, bread. Cereals, seeds, fruit and yogurt. Scrambled egg, bacon, jams etc.
This hotel offers FREE WIFI which worked well.

Noisy

Situated 20 minute walk from the city centre with motorcycle parking just outside the hotel and a warm welcome from the receptionist, this clean modern hotel seemed ideal. Unfortunately the room had no air conditioning so was very hot and stuffy and even with the window closed the street noise kept us awake a large proportion of the night.

Pleasant stay

We stayed here for two nights. The hotel is situated conveniently accross from the station. An easy 15min walk to the old town. Our room was divided in 3 separate rooms consisting of entrance with a cupboard, short passage, a bathroom and a bedroom. Although a bit old and dated everything was clean and neat. The bedroom was well equipped with a bar fridge and coffee and tea making facilities. The room was just extremely hot, there was no aircon but there was a small fan we could use. Breakfast was good and had a good variety. I can recommend this hotel for a short stay.
