Little bit old fashioned but clean, great people and extraordinary cuisine

Visited de Zwaan repeatedly. Their rooms are not up to date, but clean. Breakfast in home style, everything what you need.
Good value. People are very nice and their chef is also fantastic. You can eat great food ala carte and also some daily offers. Well done.

Hotel for a spring visit

The food is absolutely amazing. The rooms themselves are what you would expect, but the cuisine is godly. Three course meal for dinner with every course being gorgeous, perfect temperature and incredibly tasty. The service is great- as soon as you have a problem they strive to solve it as quickly and conveniently as possible, whether it's a clogged toilet or you need a bus plan to Amsterdam. The hotel is located in good surroundings with a lot of shops and a church nearby. The town itself is very quiet and idyllic. Perfect for a family visit!

Pros: Centrally located; comfortable; nice restaurant; rooms are efficient and updated; reasonable price, friendly ownership, good and easy wifi; excellent in room lighting

Cons: breakfast a little on the weak side

Rein deer dinner

Excellent rein deer dinner with many small litte extras and side dishes. Mashed potatoes and a little fried potatoe cake. Well composed wine sauce. Some green vegetables. All this with a nice selection of red wine. All in accordance with hehe rekommendation of waitress and chef. Thanks!

friendly owners that make you feel right at home; perfect location!

The location of this hotel in the heart of Raalte is perfect. We had a wonderful view of the big church that is towering next to it. The owners make you feel right at home. Super client friendly check-out process. The rooms on the third (and highest) floor get a bit warm in the summer when the windows were closed during the day. Perphaps screens could help to have the windows open without getting flies inside. We didn't understand the two levels in the floor of the breakfast room. The lower part was not used, a bit as storage for extra chairs and tables. The breakfast room could be made into one level, freeing up more space.

The town of Raalte and this hotel are a perfect place to venture out to go and see attractions in nearby cities, like the Rijksmuseum Twenthe in Enschede and MORE (modern realism) in Gorssel. We enjoyed our stay in this town and hotel.
