Cool Stay
Taimoor Mon 03/08/2017 08:18The room is very clean and beautiful decorated. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Nice and comfortable bed. Bathroom is also very clean. It is near highway and would be very good if you are travelling by your own car. Very good scenery. Bus stop is also in front of hotel. Weather is very nice. If someone is planning to travel through Bernina Express, then should stay a night here and take the Bernina which starts in the morning (around 8:30). Railway station is almost 10 minutes away by taxi. For taxi you have to ask and inform reception, they will arrange it and it will arrive exactly on time. If someone likes hiking or cycling, then should stay here. Cable car (chair lift) is around 2 kms away. You can reach there by bus. Then after going on top, you can do everything, beautiful scenery. There is a special track for cycling. There are few cafes up. Chur is a calm and nice place.
Great choice for pass-through traveller
Andreas Kon 03/06/2017 20:07Room is quite new/renovated and in very good shape. Location is at exit of highway and close to city center and at the crossroad to many great locations. Breakfast was very good and offered lots of choices.
Tidy hotel, good location and good value.
topbluebird77on 14/05/2017 22:17Only stayed here on business for 2 nights but for the little time I spent here it was a decent hotel, clean and comfortable set in a picturesque location.
Breakfast was limited but what was there was nice.
weekend in Chur
Susanne Gon 01/11/2016 18:32The rooms are absolutely clean and it was the most comfortable bed I ever had in a hotel. Staff is very helpful and friendly. There is noting to complain. Great place if you are traveling as it is close to the highway.
Worth the walk from town
Marv Kon 23/10/2016 22:14We ended up at the Hotel Sommerau because there was a "Festival of the 60's" in town during our stay--but we ended up being very happy with the option. The hotel was only a 25 minute walk from the train, and our room was very comfortable. We had an excellent dinner at the attached restaurant, and were provided with a truly sumptuous breakfast buffet. The staff was excellent...and, thankfully, spoke English flawlessly!
