Plesant stay

We arrived at 10am and unexpectedly the room was ready by then. What's more, our family room was upgraded to private suite, which is huge! Air ventilation can be improved though. Staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the stay!

Simple rooms, can be noisy

We stayed at the Hotel Walhalla for one night on a road trip and found the hotel to be adequate. The room is clean, if spartan and old. The bed was quite small for two people. We occasionally heard loud noises from the hallway. It was warm because there is no air conditioning. The room did come with a standing fan. The parking was 25 CHF a night and was quite tight. The hotel staff, however, was quite professional and the location is great, within easy walking distance of the abbey library and other main sights.

Great value for the orice

We were hesitating between Walhalla and the Einstein so when a friend said the Einstein wasn't anything special (and we were coming in late) I decided to save CHF 100 and book here. I was not let down. A hop, skip and a jump from the train station (when thunder storms were looming) was perfect. The staff is friendly, rooms clean, back room quiet and a fan for cool air. We settled in perfectly.

Family Suite is Great - Great central location

We stayed in the 7th floor family suite - requires elevator to 6 then walk one flight. Nicely appointed, modern, air conditioned, ample space for 4. Other rooms in hotel are being remodeled over coming year. Restaurant (enter from left of reception desk) offers 10% off if billed to your room and the food quality was very good with numerous options including some healthy.

Great location, but far from a 4Stars Hotel

The check-in was very quick, which was good.
The staff is willing to be helpfull, but it seems that they were'nt trained for
a 4 stars hotel.
Breakfast was the same in each morning, and not very varied!

The room is OK, but you can see some spiderweb. (but that can happens even at home :-) )
The mini bar is empty, and if you want something you have to call the reception.

The double bed, is quite small. (queen size).

Overall, I think it's overpriced hotel.
