Talk about a great location! Metro stations: in less than 5 minutes, you have Maubert-Mutualité to the east, and Cluny - La Sorbonne to the west; or, in just over 5 minutes, Saint Michel.
Walk through the Latin Quarter, and you have all your restaurants and shops (all the souvenir shops, same stuff, different store), albeit touristy. But if you venture a few blocks away, then you get some great places frequented by the locals.
We booked a room with a King size bed, and the room was nice. Maybe still small by North American standards, but pretty big by downtown Paris standards. Bathroom was big enough, but we are not a big fan of the glass divider instead of a shower curtain, as we usually have a pool of water on the bathroom floor after a shower.
Although the sound insulation in the hotel was not great, we did not have any noise issues (you would hear others in the hotel, but the rooms were too small for people to have a party in, so that was never a problem).
We also took the breakfast. To us silly Canadians, the croissants were to die for!! As good as the ones from the bakery (where they probably came from).
The staff were fabulous. For our safety, we would leave the key with the front desk. They would verify the guests' identity before giving out the keys, and after a few days, all the staff would recognize all their guests and the room they were in. So we would get back to the hotel, and be greeted with a smile and our key.
There is also a safe in the room closet, so we had the comfort in knowing that our valuables are safely stored.

This is the 7th time I’ve stayed at this hotel over the last 20 years. It never disappoints. The staff is excellent! Very friendly and good knowledge of English and the area. The rooms are nice, modern, clean, and quiet at night! And the hotel is situated in a superb location in the left bank to use as a starting point to venture into the city!

My wife and I came to paris to celebrate her 30th birthday, I’ve booked the room (deluxe with breakfast) through their website which offered a 4th night for free and a breakfast, I chose the deluxe room, it was cheaper than the regular room without breakfast in all the big sites like Expedia and Booking!
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated beyond perfection, this small boutique hotel is located 5 mins from Notre Dame, in a super quiet area at the Latin Quarter, the room (202) was big enough, just like the photos show, bed was super comfy, bath and toilets were super clean, wifi worked perfectly (rare in france) a really nice view to the street, coffee and tea, bath robes and plenty of towels. A/C worked great and easy to adjust.
The breakfast buffet was just on the spot, located in a really charming cave-like space, with top class design, super quiet and full of goodies (from scrambled eggs to ham, sausages, cheese, fruits pastry, yogurt, fresh juices and coffee and tea, great way to start your day.
The let you borrow umbrellas for a rainy day, the let me send a package before arriving and emailed me when it arrived, we got a bottle of champagne on the house with a greeting card!
To sum it up, I did a whole lot of research and was terrified about the room sizes in Paris, eventually we got the whole vacation package expected from a hotel: Location-Comfort-Size-Cleanliness and good vibes.
Will definitely come back!

Excellent location in the Latin Quarter on quiet street near restaurants and markets. Very comfortable rooms with great mattresses and modern bathrooms. There is an interior garden area off of reception area and a room for guests to gather one floor below. Our rate included a substantial buffet breakfast with included eggs, sausage, cereals, meats, cheeses, pastries, breads and fruit. Helpful, attentive and pleasant wait staff.

Stayed 3 nights before embarking on river cruise. Location was fabulous just two blocks off the east end of St Germain. Pantheon, Notre Dame, Sante Chappelle all within 5-10 minutes easy walk. Restaurants too innumerable to count with 10 minutes. Room was larger than many in Paris although we were upgraded to King Deluxe which might be different than standard. Fabulous staff- Andre assisted with initial booking issue before we left home- Andrea was working when we checked in, we arrived at 9:30 AM expecting to store our luggage, instead she offered us coffee and had us checked in before 11:00 leaving the rest of the day free for us to enjoy Paris. Would definitely stay again.
