friendly and relaxing - the perfect location

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at Moulin aux draps - I felt like I was visiting friends not staying in a hotel - the food was amazing - the setting idyllic,,,,set in woodland surrounded countryside. The perfect place to relax and unwind whilst listening to birdsong (I actually saw a real woodpecker - a new experience for me!).The location is great for short journeys to visit many places of interest. Nausicaa and Le Toucet beach are a must visit and why not have a go at sand yachting - fun for all the family.

A Gem in the Opal National Park of Pas-de-Calais

Situated in Desvres, under an hour from the Chunnel, this hotel is superb, perfectly located for exploring the hidden gems of Pas-de-Calais. I had a weekend cycling, the countryside is beautiful, exceeding expectations based on journeys along the A26 & A16. Having trvelled a lot through France I can say this area is in my top 5 and the hotel makes for a relaxing, friendly and confortable base.

I'm not one for writing reviews so trust me when I say that my stay in this hotel was beyond expectations. I was there for a weekend of cycling with others like minded and when done cycling found no trouble in relaxing in and around the hotel which is beautifully located in 98 acres of land. The hosts and staff in general were very warm and welcoming. The room was not flash but perfect for bedroom requirements and was fortunate enough at least in the room I had to relax in a nice hot bath post rides. I with my cycling buddies enjoyed two wonderful evenings of food and drink in the hotel restaurant and in the process became acquainted with our hosts whose company I enjoyed greatly. The breakfast I had at the restaurant pre bike rides fulfilled my needs and some. (In fact probably ate too much which definitely reflected in both days of cycling lol)
To conclude I loved my time there and from a cyclists (and runners) perspective is the perfect base and starting point. I would and will return to the hotel in the future. Thanks hotel du moulin aux draps and see you soon.

Perfect cycling base

I used the Moulin as a base for a weekend's cycling in the Pas de Calais region and it was perfect for the job. It's clean and comfortable, the staff are really friendly, the food is excellent and it's only 40 minutes from Le Shuttle. The area is much nicer than I expected it to be too - there's a great variety of landscape and architecture and some lovely little towns and villages nearby. It also took less than an hour to cycle to Le Touquet, which is well worth a visit. I'll definitely be returning.

We had a family holiday here, my daughter was doing a school trip here and she wanted to check out hotel and area,
The hotel is fabulous the warm welcome and rooms were Fantastic and the food well that was amazing!!! Nothing was too much trouble, we wouldn't hesitate to return 👍👍
The only downside was a very vocal cockerel next door, but that even added to the charm of the place!!
The rooms were very comfortable and have tea and coffee making facilities that aren't mentioned on their website, also have a fridge in room which is an added bonus
