This hotel is a standard looking hotel. Most aspects were fine. But noise coming from either the next door room or people smoking outside kept me up until 2AM on Saturday night. I was here for business so needed my sleep. I did call about the problem and it still went on for an additional 2 hours after I called.

This hotel was topnotch from the check-in process until leaving the facility. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. It felt like home and I highly recommend them to others. The breakfast was an added bonus and I appreciate the overall experience.

We always stay at this hotel when we visit our daughter who goes to Lees McRae. Staff very friendly. Only thing that could have been better were queens instead of double beds ( but we still fit fine) and breakfast was average. But the lady in dining hall was very nice and kept it very clean. This is the only place I stay when I visit Banner Elk.

Would definitely stay at again!

I stayed here a weeknight with my 12 year old son. While it has the "motel" aspect of the room doors all being outside, don't let that lead you to think it's a cheaper hotel. The rooms were very nice and spacious and updated. My son thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor pool, which may be heated, because it was pretty warm for a cooler day and evening. The decorations in the hotel definitely give it an upscale feel. Breakfast was one of the best free breakfasts I've had. Lots of good, hot options, a very large room for people to sit, and a wonderful, friendly attendant, who you could tell enjoys what she does and takes pride in it. I feel you definitely get your money's worth at this hotel. I would recommend staying here to anyone!

I stay at this Best Western several times per year. The staff is FANTASTIC and the hotel is an EXCELLENT value if you say during the week. Banner Elk is a resort community and things can get a little pricy on Weekends. Breakfast is excellent for a motel in this price range. And the property is REMARKABLY maintained considering the building dates from the late 60s. The fact that I have stayed here multiple times per year for several years says what needs to be said. The place passes the wallet review, so to speak.
