What People are saying

Nice enough hotel and good value

kenmavoron 27/08/2017 21:15

Spent one night here when we had a party at Baberton golf club. Hotel, as other reviewers have said is a but dated and needs some TLC but room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was good. Food was fresh, tea good, orange juice good. At £85 for a twin room it is good value which includes breakfast. Each access to central Scotland, the kelpies and the Falkirk wheel. Good for short stay.

Falkirk to see the Wheel

We choose the Park Hotel because of its proximity to the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. Don't let the outside put you off, it looks a bit of a barracks, but inside it it’s welcoming and the public areas are clean and tidy.

Our room was a good size with a large bed and the usual coffee/tea making facilities. The room was a little tired and the bathroom could have done with a deep clean, but all in all it was acceptable. We had free Wifi throughout the hotel with good bandwidth.

Both dinner and breakfast were of good quality and reasonably priced and the service was friendly. Would I recommend this hotel for a short stay, well yes.

Average hotel, good restaurant

Spent 2 nights in the Park Hotel on a business trip to Scotland. Hotel is certainly dated and could benefit from a thorough overhaul. Room was adequate if a little small. Ideal for a single travelller but would have been cramped with 2 people. The staff are typically Scottish, Extremely friendly and more than made up for the shortcomings of the rooms. Food in the restaurant (breakfast and evening dinner) were excellent. Location is excellent with all Central Scotland attractions within easy reach

Holiday Stopover

We stayed here prior to collecting our canal boat. There is a large reception area in this excellently priced hotel where you can enjoy a drink in comfort either prior to or after the very good and well priced evening meals.
The staff are friendly and welcoming, our room was on the third floor overlooking the park and was large and well equipped with a comfortable bed and good sized bathroom.
I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Falkirk

Poor

Dark, dirty and out of date. Very disappointed booked on Booking . Com whose reviews I do not understand as they
rate this hotel highly - not sure why this could be? I was grateful I only stayed one night .
