Enjoyable Stay

Spent several nights here recently. Room was very spacious and beds comfortable. Food in the hotel was great and all staff really helpful and accommodating. Great location for exploring Recklinghausen. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed a few nights with business, nice staff and excellent breakfast. Room was a bit dated but large and overlooking the lovely garden and city walls. Shame about the noisy locals being served alcohol by the hotel in the garden beneath my room until after 1am on a Monday night/ Tuesday morning. Breakfast very nice indeed thankyou. There is no aircon in this hotel so its difficult to sleep on a warm night especially if there are noisy guests.

Spent 4 nights here with the Toyota MR2 car club.
Lovely clean hotel steeped in history.
Rooms very spacious, beds comfortable and a choice of pillows.
Great choice at breakfast.
Restaurant food lovely.
Staff brilliant and helpful!

Best Hotel in town

I have stayed here many times - the hotel has a nice atmosphere, reliable quality, clean rooms, nice bathrooms, wonderful breakfast, excellent restaurant and is right in the pedestrian zone close to shops and Cafés. Only downside is the lack of AC in the summer. If you stay here during a hot week (Germany does not have too many of those) look for a north facing room that is not on the top floor.
For Sauna lovers - there is a comfortable Sauna.

Elegant and spacious

This is an elegantly decorated and very nice hotel. My room was spacious and comfortable, bigger than the average.
Breakfast and dinner were both excellent in the restaurant.
The hotel is conveniently located for a walk in the town. Limited car parking but there is a multi storey public car park opposite.
Staff were helpful and have good English.
