What People are saying

Quite Terrible....

Tortellina6on 23/02/2017 22:53

I stayed for almost 2 weeks (!)
I had a very small room (single bed with very small duvet, only shower, no bath)
Hotel at 40 min walking from the city center!!
situated along a very noisy road, and if you're located at the front you are also lucky being above the entrance and the parking lot where very noisy smokers/fighting people disturb your nights/mornings (We were lucky, there was a party in the hotel on saterday night and at a certain moment there were more people outside yelling than there were probably in the building... it went on till 5 o'clock...) asked another room , not possible. So you must have earplugs if you want to sleep in this hotel. The bed was more like 'concrete', I needed to ask a second duvet, and put it double on my mattress to have something soft to sleep on (so did my colleagues!). Rooms not clean (even not to speak about the toilet...) Soap was empty after 8 days, was not refilled anymore...One evening upon arrival my rooms' door was open!!! Probably the housekeeping did not close it (well), fortunately nothing was stolen... !!! breakfast OK, but not for 2 weeks (no variation), restaurant not really OK... (well done burger was finally raw, Cesars' salad with way too much vinaigrette, cod with way too much mustard sauce which masked all taste)
some positive points: friendly personnel, bottle of water in the room and possibility to drink coffee/tea in the room.
Maybe OK for 1-2 nights, not for long stays or if you also want to sleep in your hotel room...

Excellent service

We stayed here for two nights while visiting friends in the area. The hotel was conveniently located and easy to find, with a large car park. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was good and the dining area very pleasant. Overall we were very happy with this hotel.

Perfect stop!

We stayed here on our way through Germany. It was a clean and fresh hotel. We were a bit sceptical before we booked as the rates and comments were quite old. But when we came here the receptionist was super friendly and welcoming and the room was great. Large rooms and very modern decoration. The room was also perfectly cleaned.

Very nice Best Western

The hotel was clean and well kept. It was easy to get there from the highway. Our room (a family room) was big and cozy. Our daugter loved that the staff had left small sweets on the pillows (it's the little things...). The beds were good. Only downside was that the room was quite warm due to the warm weather.
We had dinner at the hotel and it was very good and at a fair price. We ate on the patio which was lovely.
The breakfast was very good and had pretty much everything one could want.
All in all, this is a hotel we will be using again next time we're in the neigbourhood.

Friendly but Tired

We had stayed at this hotel a few years ago when it was called the Clarion hotel. Apart from the name not a lot has changed. The hotel is someway out of town but walkable. The reception area is impressive as is the breakfast room and restaurant. Staff are friendly and willing to assist. You do get the feeling staffing is kept at a minimum to manage costs. The guest rooms are large and generally well appointed. The beds are comfortable but the pillows are not. Breakfast is a good offering and the restaurant also has quality food, good service and a reasonable menu. While not required in July, I noted heating is available to guest rooms. More surprising is there is no air conditioning in the hotel. When functions are held (wedding party the night we were there) it can and is noisy with little recourse but to put up with it. There is ample free parking outside the hotel but it is not secure nor under cover. For some reason the hotel just does not have appeal. I think we could do better should we return in the future.
