Best hotel on the Main Drag

If you are looking for a hotel with "one stop" amenities, this would be it. The hotel "used" to be a Best Western. It is now privately owned and operated. The decor is a bit dated, but you can't see it when you are asleep! The rooms were very clean. The staff was very nice - April went above and beyond with assisting us. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel. They serve a free continental breakfast that beats any other "danish and fruit" at other places. There is an indoor pool for the kids. It was very quiet and well maintained. We will return next time in Escanaba!

We stayed here recently when we were traveling from Minneapolis to Mackinac Island. When we arrived we had no reservations but we're told there were plenty of rooms. The woman working the front desk was very frazzled and kept talking about how unorganized the place was, and how she was ready to quit. She wanted the owner to come in so she could hand it over to him and quit. She gave us keys to a room, which when we walked in was already occupied. We went back and got keys to another room, which fortunately was not occupied. We made sure to put out the Do Not Disturb and lock all of the locks. The next morning when we were checking out there were issues again, with voids, double charging...we left knowing we would never be back.

Ok hotel, maybe not for family.

The hotel was ok, I'm not sure how it's considered 3 stars. The room was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly however the room didn't look completely made up, no waste basket liners, missing conditioner and lotion, weird smelling shampoo and soap. They had a crib for us but no crib sheets. Breakfast was in the attached restaurant and was good (real eggs) but there are only 4 choices and no substitutions or additions. Overall it was adequate and met our needs but I'm not in a hurry to go back

Karen at the front desk is a gem. Truly focused on helping each customer. We had a unexpected funeral while we were staying there, and extended our stay a few days over the 4th of July. Karen went so far out of her way to help us get set up. The room was very clean, and the complementary breakfast is fantastic. A real breakfast - handcooked from a large menu. My wife and I are very thankful for the hospitality offered. Thank you Karen and the staff here.

Very spacious rooms and true value for the money

Loved this hotel rooms for the very spacious nicely kept rooms. Cleanliness was awesome too.
Very good, family and kid friendly. Staff is helpful.
They also have complimentary breakfast with every room. A couple of standard breakfast combos - all filled with great stuff in it.
