Very comfortable hotel

Easy parking, nice room, comfortable bed. Very attractive, especially the landscaping in the courtyard and along the path to the garage. The free breakfast was a hot, cooked meal -- a nice surprise. Hold on to your hotel receipt - it came in handy when we were challenged by the hotel after we checked out (confusion in their computer as to the room they assigned to us).

The place to stay at in Carbondale

Had another great stay at this Hotel. Friendly service. The breakfast that is included with the stay is great and beats the free Breakfast the big chain hotels have to offer. Rooms look well taken care of. The only comment I can make is that the walls are thin and you will hear your neighbors especially when they are noisy.

Fine rooms, poor organization

The rooms themselves are adequate for a nights stay. My issue is that when my wife and I went to check in to our room on the night of our wedding we were told there wasn't one available. Despite the fact that we had reserved 2/3's of the hotel for our wedding guests and that our booking included the bridal suite. The staff eventually rectified the problem but had the audacity to tell us that we were at fault for not specifically calling and making sure we had a room. We had been in contact with the hotel multiple times since we blocked rooms with them a year and a half before the wedding and never once did anyone mention confirming or reminding them that we would like to abide by the agreed upon terms and in fact have a place to sleep. The next morning we went down to breakfast and found that the main dining area was off limits and only available to a private group. That meant that everyone in our party had to share 3 banquet tables for breakfast. I don't understand how this wasn't communicated to us. If we needed to reserve a room in order to have enough space for breakfast I would have done so. Overall, the lack of communication and complete disregard for our group was mind boggling considering we literally had 2/3's of the hotels reservations that night. I don't care about a suite or a private room, just that you let me know if there are problems in advance and I would work to fix them.

Nice rooms, clean hotel

We stayed here overnight for a wedding in September. The hotel is very nice - modern and roomy. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was okay - homefries were a little spicy and the pancakes were hard but plenty of other options available as well. Staff was very friendly. They have a nice garden in the "center" of the hotel outdoors with plenty of seating. Would definitely stay here again

Better than a Motel 6 or EconoLodge

I stayed here for a wedding. The room appeared clean but we found stains on the comforters and hair in the beds. Other than that, not much to complain about.

The food left a lot to be desired, you might want to research restaurants in the area. I was not impressed but not disappointed so much that I thought I needed to find another place to stay.

The staff was very helpful even while they appeared to be overworked. Some confusion with one of the rooms we booked as the keycard didn't work. They put us in a room that was reserved for someone else.

Also, there was a young child throwing a tantrum in a room a few doors down that we could hear very clearly. Not the hotel's fault but it tells me that the insulation between rooms leaves a lot to be desired.
