Hardwick Hall - Wedding

Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Venue was beautiful. Rooms were fabulous. I would highly recommend anyone thinking of an outdoor wedding to view the Tuscan Alcove - amazing view of the lake. The whole experience was an absolute pleasure.

Another fabulous stay

Booked this as a treat for my mum. The receptionist, Lauren, was fabulous - she had also replied to my earlier email. Very smiley and welcoming. The room was fabulous and had a view of the park. We had booked a table in the restaurant and the meal was outstanding. I had the posh fish and chips - the halibut steak was out of this world. The staff in the restaurant, especially Danny (I think) were great. Very attentive and a lovely sense of humour.
Breakfast was also very high quality and made entertaining by the two lovely ladies (Evie and her friend - who was bonkers in the best way!) and the older gentleman who greeted us. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was great.
We loved our stay and will return. Thank you for another great stay.

Lovely rooms

check in was seamless, only provided one card and needed this for the electrical activation, which was somewhat inconvenient when two occupants. the furniture & decor in the room was fantastic. We had an upgrade to a larger room with a large bathroom. Great walk in shower with multiple directional shower heads, just a shame it wasn't a power shower. twin sinks and a large porcelain tub made the room feel extravagant. TV fridge music system, hot drinks - all great. Dressing gowns and sheets did not meet the same high standards, they were scratchy (maybe I am just a sheet snob) but I ended up sleeping on top of the quilt. The towels were not fluffy either. There was a lot of noise from the bin emptying and deliveries on the morning, so glad I did not expect a sleep in. Dining room for the breakfast was again well decorated and had lots of first course options inc toast, pastries, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, fruit juices as well as the full english breakfast and coffee/tea. Easy check out. Plenty of parking space and beautiful countryside for photograph opportunities. Good overall experience, but I will take my own bedding next visit.
Staff friendly and accommodating for our fiends celebration.

Lovely hotel

Lovely hotel in fantastic surroundings. Had a huge room overlooking the lake that was clean and well equipped.

3 little niggles - the duvet was extremely thick and not suitable for summer at all. As there is no air con in the room it got very hot at night. Also the temperature in the shower seemed to fluctuate between cold and roasting - slightly annoying! Lastly the wifi seemed a bit hit a miss even in the public areas of the hotel.

I ate in the bar and the food was well cooked with good service. Extremely limited menu for vegetarians though.

Nice Rooms, very clean

Found Staff very helpful and attentive. Our room was a Garden View Room excellent accommodation and very clean. Very quiet and comfortable place. a good place to have a weekend break. Breakfast adequate did not have an evening meal in the restaurant but nice alternative meal in the bar.
