Excellent
cristinajluon 14/08/2017 00:31Excellent place to stay. Friendly service clean rooms without carpet. Beautifully shinny laminate flooring. Just wish they had fresh coffee and cream in the lobby when we checked in. The coffee was old and no dairy. Overall a great spot.
As Good As It Gets for a Motel
DGL1on 10/08/2017 14:41What a find! We have been on the road a little too long and chanced upon the Hawkesbury Quality Inn. The brightly coloured motel has been completely renovated and appears brand new. Clean, quiet, tasteful, great free breakfast, swimming pool, gym. What’ s not to like?
Great value. A must stay on your next trip!
A NOISY ROOM IMPAIRED OUR SLEEP
RTimanon 23/07/2017 02:01We stayed at this Quality Inn overnight last week; we had stayed there three years ago and wanted to give it another try.
There is yet again a new owner in the last few weeks, the third in three years. He is friendly and personable, but still learning.
The common areas have been redone and are much more attractive then last visit.
Our room was adequate, fairly spacious and clean. The bathroom was nothing special, but quite clean. There were fewer towels than we found elsewhere, suggesting some penny pinching. The LOUD bathroom fan is on the same switch as the light, something that should be banned in all hotels.
Although we had an end room, it was very noisy. Hallway noises were loud, and equipment and A/C noises cycled on all night. These are not problems that are easily remedied.
The breakfast was typical, with a choice of hot food, cereals, baked goods, etc. We would have liked more fruit than was available.
There are few choices for accommodations in Hawksbury; I would try another hotel next visit if I can.
Decent, a little overpriced
countryguy1983on 24/05/2017 19:35For the price, a decent hotel, with more money invested in public areas than the rooms. Our room was taller then it was large unfortunately, and as is traditional in old hotels, new and old elements are forced to co-exist. For example, a lovely new wall covering and wall sconces contrast the 70's era closet door with a flower handle.
Breakfast is a complete mess. You have to present cards to the poor woman in there who s already working her backside off. This system causes more trouble then its worth.
I enjoyed the proximity door cards and think they should be more common in hotels.
A warning to guests, this is a french town (catholic) and nothing is open past 6 except for McDonald's. Get your shopping done sooner then later. The rear of the building is completely locked at night so expect to have a bit of a walk on your hands to go to the front of the building.
Overall, for the price, I would choose another hotel, except there is no other choice.
Would stay in a pinch.
Excellent hotel
bl0ndesharkon 11/04/2017 08:46Great hotel for a great price . We stayed there for one night . The room was very spacious with everything you need. Made also use of the pool and the gym.
The staff was extremely friendly and they had a great breakfast selection.
If you are in the area this is the hotel to pick.
