Just ok...
Tororealon 02/08/2017 20:47We had taken a coach tour to visit Monet's Garden and this hotel was booked by the tour operator. I have stayed at many Mercure hotels in the past on business, I have an Accor club card, so thought I knew what to expect. It is listed as a 4 star rating and my review is based on that. As is situated in a semi industrial area, it is unlikely you would find this hotel unless you were doing business locally or booked as part of a tour. Rooms were basic, but clean. It appears that there has been an 'upgrade' in the soft furnishings, although whoever has been responsible hasn't had the faintest idea of design or colour and the net result is just awful. Breakfast was chaotic, with too few staff and the buffet was laid out badly which caused queues and bottlenecks at peak times. Reception staff were poor, no 'can do' attitude or customer service training and generally very limited knowledge. On our second night we arrived back late and needed a taxi to take us to our booked restaurant. I asked the receptionist if there was Uber in the area and she asked what was Uber, when I explained she told me with confidence that there was no Uber and we had to call for a taxi. I asked her to do this. In short the taxi from SQY ripped us off and charged 25 euros for a four minute journey saying he had to charge from where he came! We were appalled but it was difficult to argue. In fact there was Uber locally and our cab back to the hotel was 6 euros. We complained and the very responsible duty manager, who himself complained to the company, has promised to delete this company's number from their list and notify other local hotels. He offered us two glasses of champagne as an apology. This is not somewhere I would want to return to for a lot of reasons, but it is just ok.
Nice stay but restaurant not open on a Friday night!
Suzie Bon 15/07/2017 13:42Stayed here for one night on the way back to the UK from the south - convenient location just off the motorway - not much around it. Hotel itself is really nice, room lovely and good breakfast. When we booked it we did so with the idea of eating in the restaurant as we would be tired but upon arrival found the restaurant isn't open on Friday, Saturday or Sunday evenings! Ridiculous!

Quality of the hotel in relation to the price very poor.
I couldn't sleep becouse of the continuous noise from the stairs...
No space in the room, the bathroom need a renovation!!!
Great hotel, shame about the location
LezliCon 01/07/2017 10:35Stayed at this hotel while travelling with Newmarket holidays. The hotel is about one hour out of Paris and the same from Giverny which was the focus of our trip.
I found the hotel to be very clean, very good rooms with good facilities. The breakfast was better than expected with a good choice of fare.
We ate in the restaurant of the hotel and that too was better than expected.
The downside is the locality. Not much going on with only a few restaurants nearby situated on a bit of a run down shopping precinct.
But, the hotel is very good.
Enough for 1 night

The hotel is not new, but in a good condition.
The room was ok - clean, comfortable.
Wifi was fatty enough.
The breakfast was decent.
