Excellent Slovakian & Korean Food

We booked the private dining room for a family reunion. It's over the top crazy glam yet also feels complete tongue in cheek.
Food is reasonably priced and delicious. We had a wonderful time and made lasting memories

The hotel has a great location next to the railway station - ideal if you come by train. It is in the city center, walking distance to the main square. We had a room with no view, but it was really comfortable and well equipped, so the view did not matter. Really nice historical feeling in the halls and room, too.

Adequate business hotel, but dated and missing many amenities

I spent a week at the Hotel Polom in Zilina recently. The location is nice, just a short walk from the beautiful and active Zilina city center.

If given another option, there are better hotels available in the area. The Hotel Polom is clean and well maintained, but very dated. The furnishings look to be 30 years old. The shower was difficult to work (far too complicated for the job it needs to do). The wifi didn't work all week, the thermostat had no impact on room temperature.

Food in the restaurant was good and hours were accommodating.

To summarize, not the best hotel, but met my needs when other hotels were booked.

We stayed at the hotel for one night and for me everything was disappointing! Almost all staff does not speak English and do not understand a single word. Restaurant service was tragic, even pitiful. Although a hotel location is very good, hotel itself have to change and re-organize a LOT of things! Rooms were ok, but like all the hotel - very old-fashioned so it wasn't cozy or something! All in all, big disappointment!

This hotel has very good location across a train station and at the beginning of pedestrian zone, about 5 minutes of walking from city center. It is furnished and decorated in a way, which used to be considered a luxury hotel many years ago - revival style, including heavy curtains and drawings in massive frames. But it is amazingly clean and have very good beds. Welcome letter I found in the room was nice detail which made me smile after a long day.
Good bed and friendly and helpful staff were reasons for coming back after my first visit in autumn last year. Unfortunately during my 2nd stay staff, especially in a restaurant was not that friendly and helpful. First night I left the restaurant disappointed and next evening I preferred to go to other restaurant in the city, although food was excellent. Hopefully it was just a bad luck and next time I can enjoy the stay as much as first time.
