Eliot Con 23/05/2017 01:15A very large room with 2 double beds, fridge, and microwave. There was no freezer section in the fridge.There were 2 sinks-one inside the bathroom and one outside. Location was great-just outside the national park.
Disappointing room
thomapeton 22/05/2017 13:42We stayed here for 2 nights during an escorted tour and this was the worst place! Our room was very dark and dingy with a gap between the door frame and the door! Basic facilities but very disappointing. Beds were OK. The problem is that all of this hotel and all the surrounding facilities are owned by the same company so they have a monopoly with no competition.
We ate at the diner for breakfast and evening meals - breakfast is very busy, so leave a reasonable amount of time to get through the inevitable line. Evening meal was not so busy but it depends on how many coaches have arrived that day! If you are vegetarian, like me, there is only the salad buffet to go for, although I did have a very nice baked potato with cheese, recommended by our server.
All in all, not my favourite place to stay by a long chalk!
Comfortable, Clean, Great Food
Anne-Marie Mon 22/05/2017 01:20I visited Ruby's Inn in May 2017 with a coach party of 40 senior citizens. We were lucky enough to be placed in the Lakeside block with a glorious view from our room of the lake, pastureland and a genuine tepee camped beside the lake.
NOTE: Ruby's accomodation occupies several 2-storey blocks but there's no guarantee you'll be offered a room in the lake view block. The establishment is fully geared up to accommodate several coach loads (as well as visitors in cars/RVs or on bikes and there were 12 coaches there the night we stayed.
Little to no noise from other guests. Well-appointed rooms with a choice of air conditioning (noisy units) or the novelty of being able to open the window and hear the dawn chorus.
All-in buffet dinner in Ruby's restaurant offered a superb choice of fresh, chef- prepared dishes, salads, soups and Puddings, with wines & beer an optional extra. Excellent value after a hard day's travelling. Get there early (6. 00-6.30pm) or you'll be waiting in line for a table for a very long time!
NOTE WELL: Ruby's breakfast buffet, also in the restaurant, is probably equally as good as its dinner buffet but the queue to be seated builds up to a ridiculous length by 7.00ish, as the numerous coach parties descend on the restaurant at the same time, many of them being scheduled to leave at 8am.
Perfect venue for an overnighter or two. Recommended!
Nice room & great location
jandouon 21/05/2017 19:00We enjoyed our stay here for one night. The pool was appreciated and the rooms were large and clean. Beds were super comfy. The location was fantastic, very close to Bryce canyon so it was easy to come and go from the park. The attached general store was convenient but pricey. Service was very good.
Comfortable, clean and rustic
sansueyon 21/05/2017 13:19The style of these hotels are rustic but clean. The beds are pretty firm but this is a place to spend the night while visiting the Grand Canyon. We thought we would miss the air conditioning but it was very chilly while we were there. The lodge offered food at a very reasonable price and it was good.
