What People are saying

Cramped room and claustrophobic

Romuluz75on 29/12/2016 04:18

I stayed here for 3 nights, and was allocated a room with a queen-sized bed, and facing the rear forest. There was a balcony with 2 chairs, which would have been perfect to sit out and have a beer and smoke during summer. I found the room to be very cramped due to the 2 sofa chairs and coffee table, in addition to the writing desk and TV cabinet. There was hardly any place to put up the luggage and walk around.

Somehow I felt claustrophobic in the room. Breakfast was at the lower ground floor and accessible via a long flight of steps or there are 2 elevators for easier access. Food quality is pretty good and of a wide variety of cold meats, German sausages, vegetables, cheese and breads. There is also a coffee machine for drinkers of latte, milk coffee and cappuccino, Service by some of the Czech staff who hardly spoke English was quick and efficient and with a smile.

so so

In Poland for this kind of hotel we are saying 2-stars. No air conditioning, empty mini bar, weird smell everywere. One day I coudn't chose meals from menu, but there was bufet like for some camp of seniors.Except this really nice sport centre with pools, sauna and gym.

Mixed experience

Overall the hotel is nice and clean and the location is unbeatable. We spent 5 nights in July with Half Board (breakfast and dinner) included. We had a room overlooking the Mountains.
Nevertheless we left with mixed feelings that it could have been so much better, but let me start with all the good things first. The food is very good, every morning a very large breakfast buffet with everything imaginable. Dinner is a mix of days with buffet and days with meals served at the table. There is also a childrens menu everyday. The staff at the reception and house keeping is very friendly and helpful.
The pool area is very nice, both indoor and outdoor pool.
Most activities are free, such as minigolf, bicycle rent, tennis etc.
It was my wifes birthday during our visit, and when we got back to our room there was a bottle of wine from the hotel. Very nice.

Then the not so good experiences that made us feel not so welcome.
We were there in a period where it was very hot. The rooms and restaurant does not have any climate control so it was very hot when inside. There is a dress code in the restaurant for dinner, so men have to Wear long trousers. It felt really crazy that you could come in your old, worn out jeans but not in a pair of nice shorts. If we arrived 15 minutes past 6 all tables outside was taken so had to sit in a very hot retaurant in long trousers. This is a Family style place with a lot of children so this seems crazy.
The staff in the restaurant was not as friendly as the rest of the hotel.
The Wireless internet is very slow all over the hotel, both the rooms and public areas.
The minigolf course and some of the areas around the outdoor pool is in big need of maintenance.
We fell in love with the area and will for sure come back to the area but would problaly find another hotel next time.

A very pleasant stay in a very pleasant place

We had nothing to do the other weekend and decided to go somewhere not far from Prague to simply enjoy "a doing nothing experience". My favorite hotel near Munich was fully booked and I decided to go for this one as the very last option. Our expectations where very low but they were way exceeded at the end of the stay.

The location of the hotel is so fabulous, view from the room was just fantastic. Arrival experience was just great, very smooth check in. This is a 4 star hotel so do not expect that someone would take care of your luggage, etc.

We booked a family room (very expensive for such hotel in my opinion, it is about 370 euro per night...). Two connected rooms with a big balcony overlooking the mountains. No tea or coffee making machines which I found quite strange. But I heard you can order it from the reception, just not sure if it is included in the price of the accommodation.

Breakfast and food in general are very good. I was very happy with the choice and with the way food is presented. Some local staff does not speak any English. This is very strange. I think hotel must provide some basic lessons to teach some English even if 99% of the guests are Germans. Fortunately we speak Czech and many waiters are Czechs. But I can imagine some big problems if you are coming from non-German speaking country. Menu is completely in German and local staff can not tell you what is what in any language but German. I had to use a translate software on my cellphone if no Czech or English speaking staff was available to help.

Housekeeping is something what needs improvement. I think management needs to look at it asap and review their standards.

Spa and sauna's area is so great that we spent the whole one day there swimming in the outdoor pool as well as a few indoor ones. There is a very convenient spa bar with snacks and different drinks and service was very good.

All in one this was a great experience and we will be back many times as the hotel is just over one hour drive from Prague.
