I enjoyed my stay.

The outside of the hotel is absolutely stunning - and the inside despite it being old fashioned very impressive.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The room was very nice - I had a lovely view over Dundee. Comfortable bed!
I'd say that the room was tidy but not every corner has been checked as there was an empty plastic bottle underneath my bed and a big bushel of hair in the corner.
The bathroom was nice - everything's been checked and towels and cups have been renewed during my stay.
I'm probably just being picky but the shower was definitely too small.
I chose to have breakfast on the very first morning which maybe wasn't a good decision to make.
I just did not enjoy it. That is probably the only let down.
I had the full English and don't think that it's worth the approx £8.

Other than that I will definitely come back and would recommend it to everyone who's wanting to visit Dundee and needs a place to stay.

Very tired Hotel

Stayed overnight after a wedding reception. The room was ‘old’ would be the best way to describe it. The beige net curtains wafted gently in the breeze, even though the dirty single glazed windows were closed. The bed was hard and gravitated towards the middle and everything worked in the bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities were fine and the Shortbread fingers were nice. .Let’s just say the room was very tired and could do with a refurb. but everything was clean, even the old yellowed telephone.
We had a meal in the Bar mid-afternoon, and the Burger was nice, but the chips were dry and the pastry on the steak pie was not very good. Price wise it was ok although If you try to pay with a Credit/Debit card in the Bar you have to be taken to the Reception as the Bar does not have a card machine. Slightly annoying.
The wedding venue and buffet were perfect and everyone had a great time. Now the grumpy bit.
One particular overzealous member of the bar-staff was clearing away glasses that were full, half full and even from in front of people that had just put a full glass in front of them. A trip to the bar to get a replacement was met with ‘the bar has just closed’. That is fair enough, but removing drinks from tables, when people were still drinking them, was not on. As we were residents, a night porter opened the residents bar for us and some other guests from another wedding and informed us that the bar was open ‘only at his discretion’ so we only had two drinks and retired to bed. I must point out that no one in our party was drunk. The lift was very slow and creaky with no working light which made it a bit weird standing in the dark as we rumbled our way up. The free car park is a plus in the city centre. The hotel could be better with an upgrade, but the staff were nice (even the drink lifter.)

Not too bad and handy location.

Hotel is a bit faded and could do with a spruce up. Windows are single glazed so a bit noisy. The room was small but clean and tidy although the mattress was saggy and could do with replacing. Staff were very friendly. There were 2 weddings on when we were there so it was a bit noisy with folk shouting in the corridors and banging doors until late. If you can, get a room on the 34r or 4th floor as you are further from all the street noise and the function rooms.

This may be the worst hotel I've encountered in a while. I could feel every single spring on the bed. Our king was two twins pushed together but my side had a distinct slant to it. There were hairs on the sheets and very long hairs in the tub. The drain to the shower didn't drain quit right and the bathroom has a pretty pungent mildew smell coming from it. There was a "nail pen" on the floor when we arrived and some other small bits of trash from a previous guest. There's also what appears to be maybe dog hair in the corners of the restroom. The overall cleanliness and comfort of this room is horrible. Two things going for it-the room is spacious and the staff was quite friendly at reception when we checked in.

Lovely staff. Hotel a little tired . Could be doing with a nice lounge area just to have a drink.

A sitting area away from customer having food is needed . Terrible noise from functions in hotel , that I feel should have been brought to our attention on check . Terrible noise outside . Windows needing cleaned and damp marks all over the curtains . Although room was clean as was shower . The room was very small . What I stay again . Probably not over priced stay in the best western invercase instead much much nicer.
