    Pleasent Suprise

Nice deck person greeted us with a $65 room with a king bed. This was just a few minutes after we were quoted a $110 room at the deserted and nearby Comfort Inn. Our room was impeccably clean and quiet. It was a Monday night in October which may have lent to the good rate and quietness... Also, right next to a Braums Ice Cream place!!

    Not as Bad as Expected

We had low expectations for this motel but the price was right. Needless to say it wasn't the Hyatt but we didn't pay hundreds a night either. At one time this was a first class hotel/convention center. At one time it had been a Best Western. It had a Mexican restaurant attached but it is long gone. There were few people staying here the two nights we stayed. The furniture was worn and scraped/scratched. The hot tub has been permanently taken out of service.

So, we had a bad experience, right? No, we had a great stay here. Parking right outside your door is really nice. The room is clean and spacious with separate toilet/shower room (a bit small) and sink area. The rug is in good condition, clean, and no stains. The bed was very comfortable. The AC worked great with no problems. We had a good size frig and a microwave. The wifi worked very well. We had a 40+" Flatscreen TV that had an excellent picture. The shower was great with plenty of pressure and hot water. Tried the breakfast one day and it had the standard pastries and cereals along with waffles. We had desk lamp not working when we checked in so called the girl at the front desk. She was at our door in less than three minutes to check it out and replace the burnt out bulb.

The courtyard has a good size pool, game room, pool table, and ping pong table. A nice open sitting area with large screen TV. Six conference rooms are next to the courtyard.

So, although this hotel is past its prime, it is still a great place to stay at a reasonable price.

    Wonderful rooms and pool

I was here for family reunion and it was awesome. It was a wonderful price. Beautiful room, A/c was nice and cold. The staff was friendly and pool was amazing for the kids. Will definitely stay again when in newton.

    Will never stay here again!

I usually stay at days inn when I come to Newton every year. This year we gave red coach inn a try. We will never be back here again. They charged my card twice, when we told them about it they wouldn't believe us and just told us there was no way possible they could have. After arguing with me for 30 minutes the manager finally checked his records and all he said was "oh....well how did that happen?" Didn't even apologize but voided one of the transactions. To top that the room smelled like vomit. Terrible rooms, terrible service, worst experience at a hotel ever! WALK AWAY!

    Super fun for kids/very clean

    bjones204 on 23/05/2017 23:41

It may not look like much from the outside, but the rooms are updated and very clean. Super fun amenities for kids - indoor pool, ping pong, video games, and lots of room to spread out in the common areas. Good hot breakfast.
