Comfortable stay

Comfortable room with a nice view of pool. Liked the fresh cookies and several free local papers to enjoy. Beds were comfy and had nice linens and pillow selection. Nice staff! Bad: hairs left in tub, shower head messed up.

Time spent in Fergus Falls

Great place to stay. We were there for a Baseball State Tournament. The staff went out of their way to make sure that you had everything you needed. We were there for 3 nights and was really happy for the washer and dryer as these kids played hard, smelled bad, and were very dirty.

Loved the front desk staff Amy, she made sure to help with accommodations that I needed to best care for my elderly wheelchair bound grandmother staying in the room with us! The night stay went smoothly!

Not a good value

My wife and I stayed one night and found this property to be in need of renovations and upgrades. On a trip to Canadian Rockies and back, we stayed in five hotels. This one was the most expensive and the room, especially the bathroom, was in the poorest condition; not dirty, just outdated. Central exhaust system did little to vent bathroom steam. Also the air conditioning unit didn't function very efficiently, so the room was cool but somewhat damp and musty smelling. Contrast this former Best Western property with the Country Inn property in Billings - a much better value. I suggest you try other lodgings in the Fargo to Alexandria strip, at least until the rooms are fully remodeled and updated.

State Baseball Tournament

I was lucky to even get a room. The week of the baseball tournament (Wed thru Sat) there was a lot going on in Fergus Falls. i.e. 2 weddings, the BB tournament, motorcycle fund raiser ride, huge bicycle rally, vacationers... You get my drift. Unfortunately I had to book my room at the Super 8 in town. The minute I walked in my room (at the "Not so" Super 8) I called the Country Inn for room availability, just in case. I spoke with Amy...she is amazing!!! She was busy checking folks in so she politely took my number and called me back in about 15 minutes. She was able to get me a room for the remaining 2 nights at a great price. My son was able to hang out with his team mates and the hotel was AWESOME!! The parents had a blast in the hotel bar and restaurant. I will always have great memories of my stay and my new friends!!!
