nice pleasant lunch

Popped in here for lunch on way to Bristol, very quiet hotel at lunchtime but thought we would give it a try, staff very friendly and menu was good, not a lot of choice but it all sounded good. we ordered and the food arrived very quickly, all done fresh and exactly as we expected, good sized portions and all cooked really well, reasonable price and we all felt we has had a nice lunch, no issues at all

Convenient Location

We needed somewhere to sleep between visiting family in Thornbury and heading down the M5. So this location was just right, being a few minutes from the motorway and ten minutes from Thornbury.
The room was clean and comfortable and there wasn't too much traffic noise from the A38 nearby. No noise from other guests. So a good night's sleep.
The included breakfast was tasty and served quickly and efficiently.

A lovely two-night stay

We had a double room on the first floor, at the back of the hotel. There was some slight noise from the car park below, but not enough to disturb us. The check-in process was quick and easy. The room was very nice and was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. We had an evening meal after we arrived, as we were celebrating my birthday, and can honestly say that the food was superb as was the service. I had a delicious steak followed by biscuits and cheese, and my wife had a halloumi and aubergine burger followed by a passion fruit cheesecake (which smelt fantastic). The evening meal and both breakfasts were included in the deal I had, so cannot comment on the price. Breakfast was also very tasty and there was plenty of choice. The wifi service was good. The location of the hotel is excellent, being on the A38 and just a few minutes' drive from Junction 14 of the M5. We visited WWT Slimbridge, and this was only 15 minutes' drive from the hotel.

pleasant enough hotel

We chose this hotel on a Best Western offer so cannot complain about the bed and breakfast rate. We upgraded to a best room and generally were happy with that, clean and noise free. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and thought the menu was a little limited and the food not exceptional, though well-cooked. Breakfast buffet was indeed good with plenty of cold choices, too. Pleasant staff in all areas and the curry night was good so all in all, not bad!

Business trip

I've stayed here many times and in general it's quite good. This trip I arrived late so I didn't eat in the restaurant. The room was a good size with a large comfortable bed. The bathroom would benefit from a refit but it served its purpose. The Breakfast is a buffet breakfast with a good selection to choose from. Friendly staff too
