Nice Stay

Upon arrival there was no one at the front desk. I arrived well before check in at 3:00. I did not notice the button nor the sign that read "Please press button for service," I waited 30 minutes in the lobby, with staff passing. Once the clerk came to the front desk she was kind and promptly checked me in. The room, king bed, was spacious. The AC unit had the room at a cool temperature and it worked well during the 100 degree temperatures outside. The room was clean. The TV lineup had some of the channels that did not play sound so were limited to the programs we could watch. This did not matter to us. The staff was kind, helpful and friendly. The breakfast consists of eggs, a variety of different breads for toasting, breakfast sausage, grits, muffins, bagels, grits and waffles with orange juice, milk or coffee to drink. There is a vending machine for sodas and snacks on each of the 2 floors. There is only one washing machine and one dryer available but we did not have to wait when we needed to do laundry. I don't know if there is laundry guest services as we didn't require that. We asked to extend our stay an additional night, we stayed 4 nights total, and was accommodated without hesitation. The pool area is decent with metal tables and plastic chairs around the pool. This is also the smoking area but it seems the staff and other long term stay workers smoke right outside the exterior door that leads to the pool. We were here on business so we did not spend a lot of time in the hotel. This is not a high-priced or high-end hotel but it met all of our needs. I did not use the workout room but my husband said there is a treadmill, elliptical bike and weights in the room. We were completely satisfied with our stay.

Upon entering the room it stunk; like a smoking room covered up with deodorizer. The vanity light worked when it felt like it. The smoke alarm battery compartment was open and no battery in it. We booked the room for three people, but only had towels for two. The night security latch was coming off the wall; useless.... We had to go ask for a Do Not Disturb sign. I had to walk across the street to buy water to drink. Breakfast was fair, at best; limited selection. I cancelled a night early, but with 24 hours advance notice; although management took care of that request, the clerk argued with me about it. I have family in town, but I will not be back to this facility !!

Excellent stay over . Greeting at my arrival. Very nice property, clean, clean room.
Excellent breakfast.

The Brown Recluse

I was bit on my butt during the night by a Brown Recluse spider. When I got up the next morning I was using the toilet and a cockroach ran across my foot and up into the toilet. When I looked inside the toilet I could see a colony of roaches under the toilet ring. When I reported it to the young girl at the desk, she just shrugged it off and said "yeah we've been having some trouble with them lately" I finished checking out and left as fast as I could. I now have been to the Dr 4 times for treatments and a hole in my butt big enough for a golf ball. I'm very disappointed with my stay and don't think I'll be coming back to your motel!
