Super quite hotel and there are several places to eat near by, especially Pho Eatery. We ate there almost every night. There is a Dunkin Donuts across the street and Pike & Rose Shopping center is nice and trendy. We did take an Uber to Montgomery Mall, which was about 10 minutes away. We also took the White Flint metro into DC. Took a bit of getting used to how subway stuff works, but we figured it out by asking some very nice people. Hotel Wifi is great. I had to upload pictures from my SD card and it was done in no time. We opted for the "Green" option for housekeeping, but they did bring extra towels.

The room was clean and comfortable as has been my experience at all Marriott properties. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Free apples at the reception desk was a nice touch. The restaurant had a very good breakfast buffet but that's the only meal I ate at the hotel. While I didn't use room service, the prices seemed to be somewhat reasonable for the service, unlike some places that really gouge you for room service. My only knock in this place is the $15 per night they charged to park. I know this is customary at some hotels and perhaps that's the case with hotels in the Washington D.C. metro area. The hotel rate was reasonable, so had they included parking in the price I wouldn't have noticed.

I guess my platinum status paid off because I ended up in the presidential suite. See photos.
Unfortunately, there was a mix up in reservations where my app showed 2 nights and we’d paid for 2 nights but the front desk insisted it was one. Further, the hotel was fully booked and they were kicking me out after the one night.
A couple calls to corporate settled it but it was odd to me that the local manager thought kicking me out was the right answer since I showed the indications on my app.

Let me start by saying that the hotel itself is beautiful, and our room was clean and well appointed. We did have an issue with parking. You are charged $15 per night for parking, which would be fine, if they had enough parking spaces for the number of rooms. We came back to the hotel on a Saturday night to discover that they had run out of parking due to an event at the hotel and we were told we would need to park offsite, either at a Metro garage we could walk back and forth to a quarter mile away, or to another offsite lot that they would provide shuttle service to and from that evening. Neither of these options worked for us as we needed to leave prior to the start of the shuttle service the next morning and we were not able to walk with small children. The front desk staff were very apologetic about the situation and worked with us on a solution, including comping us for the parking charges during our stay and bringing in shuttle service early the following day. In the end, we were pleased with the hotel and its staff, just be cautious of the parking situation.

Nice property, good wifi, executive lounge breakfast for status folks is good. The red line metro is across the street (white flint). There is a paid parking lot that is huge. The drive into D.C. In the morning is a journey take the metro.
