Disappointing welcome
Céline Don 15/08/2017 20:13We stayed at the Clayton Hotel for one night but we were disappointed by the welcome we got at reception. No smile or nice word from the receptionist. The room was expensive enough so we expected a bit more kindness from the staff.
Otherwise, the room was very comfortable and everything worked perfectly.
Great area !
KateCatrinel on 15/08/2017 00:19Beautiful area , nice hotel , rooms pretty big ! Clean , in a quiet area , green and spacious ! It's very easy to reach , interesting architecture, on different levels ! Beautiful on a summer night for outdoor parties I'd say !
Unexpected delight.
Joe Oon 11/08/2017 12:49Not our fist visit here and certainly not our last. This hotel is my wife's first choice in Dublin hotels, for all of location, comfort, convenience and service.
Imagine her joy when having mislaid her passport somewhere between Galway and Dublin, it was handed in at the hotel lobby.
A friendly receptionist said she had been trying unsuccessfully to phone us at our home in England and was obviously delighted to be able to return it personally when we showed up at the desk.
Not impressed
on 10/08/2017 10:04This hotel is in a nice location but is dated inside. We stayed for one night. A glass of wine at €9.50 put me right off. After returning from the RDS we had some bar food. The male barman wanted to charge me €2.60 for a "dash" of miwidi in a jug of water. Needless to say, I left him have the miwidi. He was rude to say the least. We ordered 2 pizza's which they burnt & had to wait in total 40 minutes for 2 pizzas. No refund or discount offered by the male manager. Not 4* service from this hotel. Won't be returning.
