Bezweny lodge fire

The lodge was burnt down in the recent Somerset West fires, and is no longer operating. All outstanding bookings will be cancelled, and there is no posibility of it reopening any time soon. guests at that time lost all their belongings.

We arrived, we enjoyed & we will be back!

We stayed at Bezweni for a week and the only negative thing was that it was not long enough! This is the perfect place to relax. The views over False Bay & Hottentot Holland mountains are stunning. All rooms have access to the pool and sundeck. Our room was very spacious and we loved the thatched roof! The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby. We did enjoy to cool off in the pool as well as taking an early dip in the hot tub. In the evening it was lovely to sit in the lounge before dinner and have a glass (or two) of wine selected by Peter or Frank who both have a good knowledge about the local wines. Dinners were really nice and one evening we had a braai (SA bbq), it was super!
Two mornings we went up early and went for a hike in the area around the lodge. It was really nice and I can recommend it.
With all this said Bezweni would not be what it is without Peter & Frank. They are the best hosts and will make you feel so very welcome and well taken care off! The personal touch is what they do:-)
When reading the other reviews before we booked there where two things that came up that I would like to address:
1. The gravel road up the mountain is nothing to be alarmed about. Our little rental car (VW Polo) made up and down all week without any problems.
2.The only wildlife we encountered in our room was a small bird that that flew in through an open door and was helped to freedom again by the staff.

Paradise on a mountain

I'm very happy we found this place through Tripadvisor, right off from the start Peter and his team did everything in their power to make the stay as pleasant as possible. What I liked most is that, on the contrary of a regular hotel or bigger facility, is that everything revolves around your wishes. Amazing view over the Cape in a heated pool with a nice glass of wine. Peter and Frank, again, thanks for the amazing time, excellent food (world class cooking skills) and the nice conversations we've had. We will surely be back. Vince & Patricia

Romantic weekend with a view

What a relaxing place! Our private cottage by the damn was perfect located, completely furnished and we could just sit around the fynbos vegetation, admiring the space and the nature sounds after a walk around the farm. We only met the owner the morning after we booked in, so it really looked as if we were completely isolated from the world, the way we like!

We had a fabulous, peaceful, relaxed "Us" perfect place for that...would recommend this to all family and friends, the people was really accommodating and friendly...amazing view, best place for a peaceful and relaxed getaway👌
