From Nikita on reception, to the staff who waited on us at the restaurant, to the massage therapists who treated us - we just want to say a big thank you for how you helped make our 6 days in the Palolem/Colomb/Patnem area all the more memorable! Even ordering our morning masala chai became an exciting event!
Our bungalow with large double room and ensuite wet room (a la nature), plus outside and undercover patio entrance with reclining lounger, oozed jungle/coconut grove Goan charm. We were so glad we had booked here, rather than the more functional beach huts on Palolem beach itself, away from the masses.
Its location make it easy to walk to Palolem, Colomb or Patnem beaches, each within minutes. We had our pick of restaurants and sundowner establishments in all directions, somewhere new to choose from everyday.
The highlights were the staff, who really looked after us. Thanks so much. We are recommending Bhakti Kutir to all our friends!
Refreshingly Different

City Folks! Please don't bring your city-life bag, baggage and experiences when you step into this place. You will be disappointed if you do so.
Step into the nature and let mother nature take care of you. Be it the food (organic as much as possible), mosquito repellent (lemon grass sprays) and the bio-toilets...
A bit secluded, but therein lies its beauty. Peaceful with only the jungle sounds to bother you. A good collection of books which will outlast your stay, you can indulge in a bit of yoga, a game of billiards or chess or just soak in the solitude.
Has an in-house open air restaurant which serves food all through the day. Don't miss out on the masala chai which is one of the hidden gems of this place.
The Palolem and Patnem beach are a walk away and you can easily enjoy the beach life out there.
Nice stay and one to be repeated if you come with an open mind and submit yourself to mother nature
True Eco-Paradise

Bhakti Kutir is an eco-Luxurious experience of nature in all its green glory! I would choose a BK hut over the most extravagant cement carpeted air conditioned 5 star hotel in India any day! I have taken my traveling yogi groups here 3 times over the years. AlI of us love how the huts are built around the trees, not vice versa. Nature is not just spared, it is emphasized! The lush greenery takes absolute precedence; and the huts are all the more charming because of it. The shower under the stars option (with some huts) is a mega-favorite too. You also get the beach feel without being right down on the beach; where there is plenty of cool things to do but you don't want to sleep in the midst of it. Actually i really enjoy having the beautiful 4 minute hike down to the beach thru all the greenery. It's like a delicious appetizer before basking in the sun. And you're just as excited about coming back to your hut after exploring the awesomeness of Palolem beach too; it's like you just alternate thru the day between one paradise to another!

Booked this hotel online after reading the reviews. After 2368 mosquito bites within half an hour of checking in, I had realised that the reviews have been pushed up by the Phirangs, who have been so fed up with their developed countries that they were just looking for something stone age, no matter how unclean. I was disgusted by the omnipresent cobwebs inside the room as well as outside it and I was frustrated by the incompetency of the spiders whose webs couldn't even catch the mosquitoes. I was given some concoction and I was told that it's lemongrass and will repel the mosquitos but to no avail. Within one hour, I had decided that I'll check out and I'll stay disturbed for another 3-4 days, for Malaria has an incubation period.
Loved the jungle, the food, the meditation, the staff and the peace and quiet atmosphere. Thank You Bhakti!

Bhakti is built with a lot of love and attention. It makes you feel welcome . It's a little safe haven where you can unwind from daily life. And just 100 m away from the beach. A Perfect place to be for a short but also longer time.
