Not Worth the Amount
Rajani Pon 22/08/2017 14:31The hotel though located at a strategic location, walking distance from the Taj Mahal. is not upto the mark.
The rooms have cockroaches. Bathrooms and the rooms smell. The corridors also smell equally bad. The bedsheets have stains on them.
No payment accepted through Card machine since the machine is permanently out of order. This was not even informed in advance.
Hot water is centralized so cannot expect hot water at your convenience.
Food is good. The lobby is good. The exterior is good.
Nice basic hotel
Andreas8614on 07/07/2017 07:01Staff was nice. Pool was ok and has a nice view of Taj Mahal, perfect for having a beer in the evening. Wifi was quite slow, but we had some English TV channels which was quite nice. Area is very good and close to Taj.
Decent hotel, scam service recommendation
Julian Kon 21/06/2017 20:02The hotel itself was basically fine, but when I asked the front desk for a recommendation for where to get a massage, they sent me to a scam artist. These people wanted to charge me over Rs.4000 for a one hour massage, which is similar to what I would pay in developed countries. After haggling, I got the price down to 2500 or so, but at that point I was so pissed off about the treatment I couldn't go through with it. The problem is that I'm white, and these people think that just because you're white you can pay more. This country obviously has fundamental race and class problems, and the staff at this hotel pushed me right into a trap. Can you imagine going somewhere in your country, and the people looking at the color of your skin and deciding to charge you triple? Absolutely unbelievable.

Danger! SCAM alert!
Jess Son 12/05/2017 21:46We stayed two nights at Bhoomi Residency and had a rough experience to say the least. When we arrived there were dead crickets and beetles all over the room. We went to the pool for a swim and there were monkey turds floating in the murky waters. When we realized that there was nothing available to fish them out ourselves we called the front desk. We went back to the pool and someone had fished the floaters out but left several piles of poo on the pool deck.
All hygiene issues aside, the reason I'm writing this review is to warn other travelers about being scammed.
When we went to check out, the man at the front desk said he wouldn't accept card payment. He then told us the amount we had to pay in cash which was exuberantly more than our hotel.com confirmation stated. We showed him the booking and he lowered the price a bit (still refusing to acknowledge the clearly stated confirmation that included ALL taxes) and insisted that we pay "tax" in cash and then walk across the street to pay the rest on our card at the neighboring hotel.
We knew we were getting taken advantage of, but felt like we had to comply because we were late for our bus and he was insistent.
We later contacted the hotel and they fired that employee and acknowledged that we were scammed. We asked for a refund and they REFUSED even though they acknowledged that we were ripped-off.
Steer clear and find a safer place to stay in Agra
