What People are saying

Adequate

We stayed here one night. The room was basic but just what was needed. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Lovely coffee maker. Friendly and helpful lady at check in. Lots of parking. Close to the broad walk. Would stay again.

Terrible Service (I do not recommend staying here!)

Rachel S on 31/05/2016 16:44

First, I would like to state that the motel itself is not the nicest, but certainly not the worst in the area. However, the customer service was the worst I had ever experienced. I booked my room online, and received an email stating that my check-in time was not confirmed by the motel. I called the motel to make sure I knew what time my room would be available, but it was difficult to understand the woman on the phone. She yelled a time and hung up on me before I could ask her to repeat what she had said. When I arrived at the motel, the woman at the desk ( who I am assuming was the same rude woman on the phone) tried to sell me a room at a higher price than the one I had already booked. After explaining multiple times that I already had a reservation, the woman angrily rolled her eyes and walked off to the back room to check her computer. Once she and I got everything settled and had my room ready, she looked at me sternly and asked "Who Smokes in the room?" (There were no smoking signs up all over the motel) I informed her no one in the room would be smoking, and she insisted that there's an extra $100 Smoking fee that she kept pushing. Finally I convinced her that we would NOT be smoking and we do not want the $100 charge. We were given our room and fortunately we were out on the beach most of our stay. I left yesterday morning (5-30-2016) and woke up this morning to an e-mail informing me that the motel had CANCELLED my reservation and that there would be a cancellation fee! I contacted the booking website I used, assuring that we did stay with the motel, but that we would not be returning.

Dated

We booked in for 1 night on our California road trip.
It wasn't a palace but was ok to get our heads down for the night.
The room was a good size with fridge we had 2 double beds. The room/motel could do with a major updating, as the carpet & fittings and bathroom were all a bit shabby.
The lady on reception was friendly and checkin was quick enough. For what we paid and needed this motel for it was ok.

Find somewhere else

stephensteve D on 17/10/2015 17:17

We are from England and i have never arrived at a hotel anywhere i have travelled where the reception don't even talk to you, how rude is that. The internet was always always losing connection, we had to ask for fresh towels and the bed was never made, it was a grubby and tired place that needs renovating and the staff need a personality transplant.
The only positive if there is one is it was convenient for the boardwalk and beach.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

HORRIBLE place! Nothing worked, pool always closed, WiFi very temperamental, rudest people i have ever met you can here them shouting and arguing with each other. Not a clue what they are doing.
