Great City Centre Overnight Stay

Lynnep_Willerbyon 25/08/2017 10:53

It was superb value for money with underground parking and about 2 minute walk to the city centre however just around the corner was a fine selection of bars, restaurants and a lovely coffee shop.

The hotel was extremely full the weekend we stayed however we had no problems with parking. The bed was king size with a suitably sized bathroom, we did get woken rather early the next morning by the bin lorry but since we had to get up and checkout it wasn't too much of a big deal. The following morning for breakfast the choice was really good, didn't like the sausages, tasted funny, like they were4 packed with tarragon but the bacon and other items were good. I'd stay here again when we next visit Cheltenham.

Cheap and cheerful

Cheap but cheerful, a lovely place to stay when visiting Cheltenham. It's not far from town and nearby parks. Rooms and breakfast is completely adequate. The TVs have app to access your own Netflix and amazon prime accounts should you wish. We've stay twice before when visiting our daughter and will be happy to stay again. Nice hotel, good value for money.

Very happy

Upgraded free of charge on arrival.

Breakfast included and own car park which was very convenient and great location within the town Centre. Good restaurants and pubs close by.

Big rooms, modern and good value for money.

Do NOT Stay Here-Worst Hotel Ever Experienced

Travelgirl72613on 21/08/2017 10:26

My husband needed a hotel to stay in for two nights as we were looking at properties and decided to book a quick stay here . Do not let the photos fool you , the lobby looks like a dirty hospital. I was almost in tears when we got to our room . There were black pubic hairs all in the bed and nail clippings on the floor. It had the most awful smell I can't put into words. We had to leave immediately. We left the hotel within 5 minutes .They also did not refund our money for the first night which was such a disgrace but we did not care at that point. We ended up going to the Cotswold Grange hotel nearby which was a world of difference for only 25 pounds more a night !

Basic hotel for the money

The staff are very pleasant and attentive. I stayed there for one night and had a room on the front of the hotel. It was noisy with people and traffic. The rooms are very basic and my room was quite dirty, including dirty cups and drink splashes on the wall. I'm not sure what the purpose of the curtains are but they are very strange. The parking is poor with only so many spaces and comes with an additional cost to park on the hotel grounds. There didn't seem to be a lot of spaces to park else where and as some one new to the area I would have done some more homework on where you can park if unable to with the hotel.

Breakfast offers a wide choice to eat although I thought I was in a factory canteen or school hall with the furnishings.

Overall the hotel was alright.
