Excellent hotel
Vagn Hon 08/08/2017 10:42This was a great place. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. Facilities were good with swimming pool and a nice walk around a lake. The setting was very nice. A very good value hotel.
Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings
Nina Gon 16/07/2017 14:16Very nice hotel with comfortable rooms, good breakfast and nice facilities. The location is beautiful and Venlo is a very nice city.
Only complaint is the loud door alarm when you enter or leave the rooms in the hotel. We didn't get much sleep because of people returning to the rooms during the night, triggering the door alarms. But maybe we are just sensitive..
'Old school' style
Buellrideron 15/07/2017 08:17I liked the quiet location and the park style surroundings. The welcome was warm and friendly too.
The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean but missing aircon.
Spa facilities were good and the food in the restaurant was superb without being pretentious.
Overall a pleasant stay and would be a great place for a relaxing weekend.
Could do with a bit of modernization here and there but i'm sure the prices would lift if this was done. Currently good value for money.
Beautiful Hotel
Yoze Von 14/07/2017 00:31No one could argue that this is an exceptionally beautifully located hotel. The view of the water with the swans from the restaurant and also from our balcony room above the restaurant was incredible.
I read in some of the reviews how the staff was not pleasant. Being Dutch myself and married to a Japanese American, I am often criticized for my direct approach. I also notice when I'm back in my home country that the service is not overly friendly but it is most of the time, professional. Americans are used to overly accommodating service and when in Holland or France, what you get is no-nonsense, no-frills service, that is friendly in the American way but nonetheless it's efficient and perfectly acceptable.
The only thing that bothered me and this was in other Bilderberg Hotels as well, is the alarm that starts when you do not close your door and open another connecting door. Both doors had alarms that were very irritating. Doors should just automatically close.But aside from this minor inconvenience, our stay was superb. We had a delicious dinner outside and friendly, no nonsense service!
We will certainly be back!
A beautiful stay for a weekend

We have no negative remarks, only positive:
Beautiful terrace at a pond, friendly staff, the room was clean and well equiped, tasty breakfast, nice indoor pool.
It is a comfortable and casual place.
There s a lot to do in the area and they provide you information about walking trails, bike trails, etc in the hotel.
