Renovated hotel with a warm atmosphere and beautiful rooms

This hotel has been renovating its lobby, restaurant and rooms. A pleasant environment has been created to enjoy top level hospitality. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Besides the great services provided, the location (and views) are top!!

Positive: Close to the beach and kind staff.
Unfortunately the available pictures of the hotel do not reflect the whole hotel. The hotel has a new and an old part. We were located in the old part. The floor stank,the door to the balcony could hardly be opened or closed. The bathroom was disgusting. There was no place to store the clothes, no wardrobe and no minibar.
The breakfast restaurant was to small and the guests needed to choose a time when they would like to eat the day before. In addition, the quality and selection at breakfast was not according to other 4 star hotels we know.

Birthday Treat

Had high hopes for this as it was booked as a birthday treat for my wife and it didn't disappoint - the greeting from the reception staff was warm, welcoming and genuine and every request throughout our stay was the greeted the same way.

It's really easy to get to this hotel from Schiphol but DO NOT ! get the so-called "sprinter" train (it seems to sit at Leiden Centraal for about a week !). Get the "inter-city" to the Hague Central (big yellow and blue double deck - you get a betterview of the coutnryside from the upper deck....I know...but you do !). Near the main entrance doors to the station go to the right hand side of the desks (behind the desk tells you the left is for international trains the yellow is for domestic trains and the white is for trams and buses). We didn't know what our itenerary was so just bought singles to Scheveningen. Your stop is "Kurhaus" which is announced. On arrival at the stop turn left, look along the platform and the end of the hotel sign is visible - a two minute walk.

Our room was comfortable and well-appointed (no wifi hassles just sign in). and we had a small balcony which caught the sun and meant we got plenty fresh air.

The hotel is a stones-throw from the promenade and pier and directly accross from a reasonable supermarket and small shopping mall which leads onto a square with a variety of eateries.

The spa was very good and both steam room and sauna were excellent and did their job well. Towels obtained from reception no problem and if you want to use either of the two sunbeds these looked like they took tokens but we didn't investigate that further.

We didn't eat in the hotel but did have breakfast there (didn't tell the wife wha that cost !) the waiting staff were a delight and everything was kept fresh so very enjoyable and since I like a good coffee in the morning, being given my own generous pot (wife takes tea) was a big plus.

I'm sure I could have found cheaper accomodation but as I say this was a treat and it ticked very box and more.

Good hotel in The Hague

Stayed here for 2 nights on business in June. Hotel is one street away from the seafront and pier. I was in a single room which was a bit snug but perfectly adequate. Very comfy bed and good shower. Hotel was very clean and staff very helpful. Breakfast buffet excellent. Hotel bar good. Hotel had a pool but no time to use it. Would recommend for business or vacation.

Spent 3 days
Room was clean but not well climatized , bit noisy and my bed was not well prepared
Otherwise restaurant was good and hotel close to the beach but not seaview
Last thing bathroom are clean but very small
