Good trip
smemor9on 15/08/2017 12:11We had a good trip by jeep in wonderful Bishnoi places with Amit!! Bishnoi people were very great, we visited also the temples in the zone, we saw the famous antelopes that live there. The village camp was cosy and pretty good!
Village tour poor and not worthy at all
Josep Non 14/08/2017 17:09I hired a promising one day tour to see the Bishnoi communities and our guide was one of the owners of this Bishnoi Village Resort. We visited very fake tourists oriented tissue blok printing and pottery making ... It was really a shop with a very poor show as excuse ... And also we went to a couple of villages with no indication at all from our guide, just a 'you have 30 minuts to walk around'. He was like a driver but wit a tour price and a great decepcion for us. Really very poor energy from the guide, making me feel like we were easy tourist money.
Place with fantastic wildlife!
Claudia_499on 13/08/2017 10:45I spent several days in the camp and can recommend it very much. It is an ideal place to explore the philosophy, the religion and the area of bishnoi-people. The owner is very friendly and helpful. And he is a bishnoi-person by himself. So he can answer a lot of details and explain a lot of interesting facts about the bishnoi-life. By protecting and respecting the environment and the wildlife since hundreds of years bishnoi-areas are always a retreat for shy animals and rare plants. And so jeep-tours in these area, which are offered by the camp, are very interesting. You can see there very rare deer like the gracile Chinkaras and Black Bucks and sometimes even Flamingos and Siberian cranes. In some comments it is written that the camp is not very luxury. Surely there are existing more luxury places in the Desert Thar. And for people who are looking for these it’s not the right place. Much more it’s a great place for people who want to get in contact with an originally nature and intact wildlife. The variety of wildlife around the camp is very rare for an area which is not a nationalpark or a sanctuary rather completely natural. And the camp in any case is very charming and an ideal place to relax and to come a bit down from teeming India.
Village Experience- mud huts
Apathak205on 29/06/2017 18:25It's a village theme resort, they have mud huts with all modern day facilities, bathrooms are having hot & cold water facility, they arrange for camp fires, cultural programs, folk dance, etc. Food is really good with local Rajasthani taste, they also provide village tours, camps, camel safari at reasonable rates
Lovely trip to the village
Chandini58on 23/04/2017 17:39Trip to the Bishnoi village organised by Bishnoi village camp and resort was very good ..Amit, our tour guide was a very friendly person. He drove us around in his jeep, explaining about the life of the villagers. We visited the house of one of the villager. They were very friendly.Amit had promised us that he would show us the black bucks, an endangered species. Our main aim was to spot the Black Bucks and we succeeded in that. We also saw some gazelles, and few birds like some ducks , cormorants, and owl with owlets..We could experience the local culture of pot making, block printing of bedsheets and weaving durries. Finally the tour ended with the lunch provided by the local person .The cuisine was very much Rajasthani with bajra roti ,and khersangri.of course there were other items too like rotis, dal, sabji , buttermilk. In short the trip was very good and one should experience the village tour.
