I would strongly recommend this economical hotel…The Hotel has a clean ambience. The breakfast has limited options but good enough…The room is well maintained. Free Wifi was provided..Overall good stay

The morning we checked out, a 'manager looking' guy came out from behind the desk and told us that we had to pay then because he was going to the bank that morning. So we paid him, other members of staff were also aware of this as we mentioned it before we left when paying for a taxi.
Two weeks later I have the balance we already paid taken out of my account. I have emailed every Vedanta address I can find and also contacted on social media to arrange a refund and to express my anger. I have received not one reply from Vedanta. Absolutely terrible customer service.
Like everyone else has mentioned, rooms were damp, no hot water, no wifi in rooms, staff woke us up with loud conversations, location far from Munnar- about 150Rupee to the town center.
The only good part was the' tour guides' we had provided for us for a day. That's what the 1 star is for. I wouldn't stay here again and would highly suggest not staying here.

The rooms were spacious but the beds felt damp and the sheets were not clean. There was no hot water which was horrible since it was so cold in Munnar this time of year all we wanted was a hot shower! It's located quite far from Munnar and there's nothing at all to do in Devikuam this time of year so we only ended up staying a night and just got out of there. As backpackers we were hoping for more of a social hostel vibe however it felt more like a big hotel.
This all being said the staff were polite and the owner was very friendly. They helped by drying our wet clothes and brought us take away food since no restaurants were open nearby.
If visited at the right time of year this hotel may not have been so bad but as it was we were disappointed with our stay.

The sheets smelt as if they hadn't been washed in weeks, the staff on reception listened to music and shouted so much it woke everyone up early in the morning, the same staff gave incorrect advice about bus timings, and they returned my laundry with 3 items missing.

It is 7-8kms away from the Main Munnar Town. The charges to their is around rs 100-150 and the transportation is not available every time. Mr Bhavani, who was handling the front desk in the morning when we arrived, was polite and helpful, But Room service and Amenity experience was not so good. Below are the Pros and Cons.
A. Pros

2. Free Wi-Fi
3. Peaceful place
4. Economic Rent
5. Lots of Greenery
B. Cons
======
1. Entrance to the Hotel is very narrow, only 1 car at a time go inside, and parking can accommodate 2 SUVs only.
2. Hot water arrangement, not properly worked. In 1 room hot water was available, but not in another. And the timing was also not fixed.
3. No Room service
4. No Drinking Water provided in room, we purchased 20 Litre Bottle from a nearby General Store.
5. The Mattresses was so damp & spongy and uncomfortable. Bed-sheets were having spots of something, so we told them to change them.
6. No Electricity backup !! No generator or Battery backup.
7. No Intercom facility
8. Mobile signals not available at this place, so your mobiles will go Out of coverage area.
9. No Restaurant Available, so no Breakfast or Dinner available.
10. Nearby area only have 2-3 general stores, but No market.
11. As it is far from the Munnar Town, you will waste your time in traveling to munnar and coming back from Munnar instead of enjoying.
So, not recommendable in concerning to the above.
