Lovely place, unexpected
Cheryl Con 19/07/2017 21:53The B&B is beautiful! There is a great room with a piano, many board games, comfy couches and books. The rooms are all decorated well. Ours was the bunkhouse- it had a bridle and cowboy boot wall borders. Someone has put a lot of effort into the decorations.
It is literally on the Snake River, so a lovely water view and some paths to stroll. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms are very close together on the main floor, but we had no trouble sleeping. It was nice to sit outside reading in the afternoon, watching the wildlife and enjoying the grassy area with beautiful plants and flowers. An update on the patio chairs would have been nice- they just didn't have the same care as everything else on the property. Nothing else close by, but if you want a relaxing retreat, this is it!
Location🤔😀😕
RetiredNLuvinIt_11on 19/07/2017 03:30This place is a fantastic BnB. Great breakfasts, lovely rooms, nice view of Snake river flats. We saw herons, eagles, deer, pelicans, cormorants, humming birds, osprey and beaver. Very peaceful setting in the main house. Carriage house too close to highway is why some might be troubled. We were looking for a quiet place to relax on way from Glacier to Utah. It was perfect for our needs. Also convenient for trout fishing and for anyone having anything to do w BYU-Idaho. The big problem is no decent nearby restaurants. Rexberg (7 miles)is mainly dry, so an Applebees is best bet if u want beer or wine w dinner. Idaho Falls has good food options, but is 30 minutes. So, if looking for peaceful setting or proximity to Rexberg, highly recommend. If that is not ur thing, u should look in West Yellowstone or Jackson. Owner very friendly.
Average B&B
Bret Pon 09/07/2017 21:07Average B&B. The atmosphere is great. The service and food was very good. The setting by the snake river is very nice. Just a couple things could have made it better... crappy chairs on the room patios, ours had no shower (we knew that going in) but of course it was hot and humid so after playing 18 holes a nice cold shower would have been awesome, and the bed is very old. One it was uncomfortable and two, umm, adult activities are noisy...
Beautiful Retreat!
readytoexplore_11on 09/07/2017 04:11What's not to like from sitting on the deck to watch the hummingbirds with the river in the background, or sitting in the living room to have a game of checkers, or using the upstairs reading nook/couch to get in a chapter of your vacation novel, or as we did since we couldn't resist...watch (some of) The Sound of Music in the downstairs media room on the projector because it looked AMAZING in the home theater! Then in the morning our family was spoiled with gourmet breakfast which was truly five star. Superb! We stayed in the carriage house since we needed room for 4. It wasn't fancy, but it was very comfortable and there was a view of the river which added a lot. Hot shower wonderful. The hosts are so gracious and accommodating (as is the chef and staff), exactly what you hope to find after hours of travel/fatigue. Can't recommend it highly enough. ps- thanks for the gluten free breakfast for our daughter!
Amazing Lawn
RosaRosaRosaon 06/07/2017 03:07We have to mention the lawn first because we are so envious. It's perfect! We've been trying to achieve the same at home!
It was perfect. We stayed in the Blue Herron Suite. HUGE suite, huge private bathroom, private balcony, with the most BEAUTIFUL view. Great nights sleep, friendly hosts, very welcoming, they left our very detailed instructions and keys at the front door as we checked in late. This was very much appreciated. But just a heads up, the doors do get locked after 11pm.
Lots of game choices upstairs.
Just an amazing property right on the review. Apparently there is a movie theatre in the basement, and hot tub in the back, but we didn't stay long enough to checked that out.
Every detail was looked after. We woke up on the Fourth of July and breakfast had all the fruits red and blue! It was super cute.
