Great stay, shame about the weather!
Richard3552on 11/11/2015 23:04Very nice friendly welcome from proprietor. Room was clean & tidy if a little dated and bathroom was very small. We wondered why we didn't get a sea view as we were the only people staying whilst we were there but that not important as we couldn't see the sea through the rain anyway! Breakfast was very good. Overall hotel was very good.
However, for anyone visiting this part of N Wales, don't come at this time of year (Nov) as everything is closed!! Very difficult to find anywhere to eat in the evening, ended up at the same alternative hotel both evenings of our stay. Good job the food was good!
Good friendly hotel in great location

Good value for money, clean and excellent breakfast
WELSHYPMon 10/10/2015 22:34Located on the Porthmadog Road, after a 2 hour journey we arrived at our bed and breakfast.
The room was not ensuite which we were aware of. Our bathroom was private and down the corridor for our use alone.
The room was cosy and tidy. The beds were extremely comfortable. Our room had a lovely view of St Tudwall's Bay and the Mid Wales coast. The room was quite large.
Ample parking for guests.
Breakfast was excellent and catered for everyone's needs.
Perhaps the steady flow of capital from increased guest numbers if we were guaranteed gorgeous British weather would give the owners the opportunity to modernise the rooms - so I can accept the comments on here. But the welcome was a warm Welsh one and the place had charm and character.
Ideally located on the Lleyn Peninsula in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK and the world.

Golf trip
Reevo51on 30/06/2015 22:39Had a 3 night stay and really enjoyed the stay. Owners were really friendly and breakfast was good and set you up well for a day of golf. Would definitely book again. Location was great to get to golf courses. Rooms were cleaned everyday and fresh towels when needed
Tired hotel
holidayguy60on 28/06/2015 12:50This hotel desperately needs updating, and decorating. The owners were pleasant enough, but we are always suspicious when asked to pay for the stay in full upon arrival, before even seeing the room. The curtain was half hanging from it's pole, and whilst we were told it would be rectified before we retired, it never was. Criccieth seems pretty dead, although we did find a reasonable restaurant...Tir a Mor. The location of the hotel is not bad, and overlooks the sea (from a distance) and the breakfast supplied in the morning was perfectly cooked.
Over all, it could be a lot better with a bit of TLC, but currently, at £80.00 per couple, it seems overpriced compared to other hotels we stayed at in North Wales, for a very similar amount.
